Although piracy was a factor in the death of the Dreamcast, I don't think it's as big of a factor as people make it out to be. While the Dreamcast's software sales did somewhat lag behind what was expected, the reason the Dreamcast was ultimately taken out of production was because Sega was unable to sell enough

I donated $1 for the cause. I'm not sure why I did it, but I did.

I think that being trapped in a video game can be a really good premise... to a point. The problem is that in a lot of cases it is just conceptually redundant. You end up with animes that are about someone playing a game and getting trapped in that game's fantasy world, when you could have just made an anime about

It's because hardly any early anime is available subtitled. I've seen the first episode of Gegege No Kitarou, but that's all I could find. Even the original Astro Boy, the anime that started it all, isn't currently available subbed as far as I know.

The site, called Naruto Channel with "Naruto Spoilers" in the URL, then deleted all plot point and character reveals. It then declared they were ceasing similar coverage in the future for both Naruto and One Piece. Both manga are published by Shueisha. This news comes from respected Japanese site IT Media (via Sankaku

I'm skeptical that Hollywood is capable of doing justice to this story. The most interesting stuff happening behind the scenes during this era happened at the corporate headquarters of Sega and Nintendo, which are both Japanese companies. I just can't bring myself to believe that Hollywood will make a movie that is

It's a nice gesture, but the reason I buy games from GOG.com is to support the companies that made them. If I wanted the game for free I could have just pirated it.

The funny thing is, I own none of these games. Well, I do own Portal 2 and Skyrim, but only for the PC. It wouldn't even make sense for me to own a 360 if I didn't play so many fighting games on Xbox Live. It's ironic that while I was growing up I always wished more people played video games, but now that they

I think you should be commended on your ability to see through the hype and find games that were actually worth playing. Disgaea D2 was my favorite game this year, but I didn't expect to see it on any lists of the top games for 2013. At least not beyond those belonging to rabid JRPG fans. Seeing project Diva F on

Look, I could deal with 9/10 not being first, but eighth??? Obvious reviewer bias.

I'd go with the 32x. The Sega CD at least had Sonic CD and Lunar.

What, no Shaq Fu?

I am just going to pretend you didn't put the Sega Saturn on that list... Lol, but no seriously, the Saturn was a great system if you were into the kind of games that were released on it. Also, it helped if you were willing to import.

Yea, it pretty much is. Recently some major Bitcoin exchanges opened in China, and that has really helped to drive the price through the roof.

Fun fact, I once owned over 50 Bitcoins. And I sold the vast majority of them for under $10. Yes, I know what they're worth now, you don't have to remind me. T_T

Bubsy 1 is actually a very good game IMO. People give the Bubsy series such a hard time because most of the games are dreadful, but the first game, the one that started it all, was actually a very enjoyable and playable platformer. A little difficult perhaps, but they handed out extra lives like they were candy. Once

Ditto. I've been tempted to donate to many KickStarter projects in the past, but this one is the first to actually get my support. Something about the trailer, I can't quite put my finger on it, but it's just so beautifully surreal. It's like they pulled this game straight out of my dreams or something.

I think they are doing this to make up for the fact that development for Kingdom Hearts 3 got delayed so long by the whole Versus XIII/Final Fantasy XV thing. Normally they'd never show off this much stuff from a game that's so early in development.
