Chinese Democracy was actually a pretty good album from what I hear. And from first hand experience, I can tell you that Duke Nukem forever, while not by any means a classic, is an enjoyable game if you go in with reasonable expectations. I'm assuming the vast majority of the haters never actually played it...

I found some at Trader Joe's the last time I was there. It was the first time I'd ever even seen a pretzel bun, and I got them on a whim, but I'll be damned if they weren't the best buns I have ever tasted.

Personally I've just grown to accept the fact Kotaku is obsessed with fixing things that aren't broken. At least on the bright side, this layout isn't bad enough that I feel like I need to use a custom CSS to make using the site tolerable. That's what I had to do with the first redesign...

If Square Enix were a forward thinking company, they would use this as a way to test the market for 3D printable figures and potentially open up a new revenue stream for themselves (and we both know they could use one). You have to admit, it's a lot harder to lose money on a product when you don't have to deal with

Since he pretty much just took Square's existing models without adding anything, they could have easily said "Hand over your Shapeways account and we won't sue you", and it's pretty likely he would have said yes. Since Shapeways handles order processing, model printing, and shipping, Square Enix would be able to

I 100% agree that putting these figures up without Square Enix's permission was the wrong thing to do... but my God, is Square Enix allergic to money or something? These thing were getting a massive amount of free publicity, and were clearly selling as a result, and yet their first reaction was a cease and desist? Are

If it's any consolation, the Yogscast still has more subscribers than Justin Bieber.

Putting aside the fact there are a lot of documentaries that portray North Korea in a negative light, there's one in particular I think you should watch. It's called "Camp 14". You can watch it on Netflix. It's the story of life in North Korea, told by someone who grew up there. Not some reporter with an agenda. You

This does looks pretty good, and I will almost certainly be buying at least the first episode, BUT DAMNIT TELLTALE, I WANT MORE SAM AND MAX GAMES! I don't care what it takes, make it happen.

While you're at it, don't forget to check out the Yogscast's playthough of the beta. It's probably one of the best things they've ever done.

So I have a question. It's been a very long time since I played a "Tales" game. In fact, the only one I've played is the first one in the series, Tales of Fantasia. That being said, my overall impression of that game was that it had a somewhat interesting battle system and a mediocre story. Speaking as someone who

If you throw your device so high it breaks free of the Earth's gravitational pull, does that mean you win?

That's weird, I tried to apply, but it said I needed to be an ambassador first. Except in order to be an ambassador you need a gamerscore of 1500 or higher, and it said I don't meet that criteria even though my gamerscore is actually much higher than that.

Problem is, it doesn't make much sense even if you have read the other parts...

Yea, pretty much this. It's annoying to have to buy extra hardware, but either way HDCP is more or less completely broken: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-band… . I don't know why anyone is even still using it.

I think it's sort of ridiculous to have a discussion about the cultural merits of censoring or not censoring Erogames. This is almost the equivalent of people in Japan having discussion about whether it damages the artistic vision of the original creators when they censor out the naughty bits in western porn films. I

Dear sweet God those English voices are awful. Are those even the same voice actors from the original Disgaea? I'm just glad Disgaea games always include the original Japanese voice acting, or else I wouldn't be able to stand playing them.

Protip: Play Virtua Fighter for 100% fireball free gameplay, where even the lowest tier character can beat the highest tier. There's also a tutorial mode that teaches a lot of what you need to know to actually be good at the game. The rest is just practice. ;)

I really hate it when people associate cartoony graphics with childishness. You know what I call it when every game just looks like a cheap ass uncanny valley version of real life? Boring.
