I caught the reveal live while watching the Super Battle Opera tourney live on niconico. Really helped pick things following the mass crowd exodus that occured during the VF5 Final Showdown tourney...
@TC-man: I worked on my 5.50 Gen D-3. But I did apply the patch after ripping it just to be safe. It may not work without it, I dunno.
It's worth mentioning that if you have a PSP with custom firmware, buy the game, and copy it to the memory stick, the load time issue is nullified. Fair use for the win.
Hahaha, welcome to the Sega experience. For those of you who have only just recently joined the party, let this sink in. This is what Sega does. They give you absolutely awesome games, and then they fuck with you for all you're worth.
Rumors of a possible console release of Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown have gotten me pretty optimistic. Other than that, I'd just like to be surprised by something (in a good way). The best announcements are usually the ones you could've never seen coming.
@Daniel Thomas MacInnes: Truly he is a vengeful God.
Who called it? [kotaku.com]
@Inzoum: But on the other hand, the GC version has an extra side quest that fleshes out the games back story, and significantly reduced load times.
@dragon83: That's what DOSBox is for.
Whoa, they had pop'n music set up there? I though Konami wouldn't allow that outside of Japan. Well, other than the Wii pop'n music game, which I could literally play with one hand tied behind my back.
@AD.Munck with music in his head.: "When people ask me which Pokemon game came out first, Red or Blue... Sigh."
@jargy1: Yes, heaven forbid anyone ever report something controversial on the news. Let's all live in a state of blissful ignorance, and pretend the world is made up entirely of cotton candy, puppy dogs, and cute little kittens.
Wow, all signs are pointing to this being real. On top of that, it seems as if this will fully unlock the PS3, allowing it to run unsigned code. I'm just really curious as to how they pulled this off. Given the fact hackers have been attempting to crack the PS3 for years with no success, I'd bet on insider info…
AHAHAHAHAHA, FINALLY! Ok, deep breath, deep breath. I have basically been waiting since I was four years old for some good games based on Disney Afternoon cartoons. I could officially die happy if I ever got to play a good Darkwing Duck game, but a DuckTales game is the next best thing.
@Sundeiru: True, but it's very much consistent with the cheesy style of Sega music from it's heyday. Check out "Dreams Dreams" from the original Nights, or "Let's Go Away" from Daytona USA to hear some serious cheese.
Are you kidding me? The second I heard that song I knew this game was not the same old crap Sega has been putting out for years. Would you have preferred something more "hardcore"? Everything sounds like that these days. Let's hear it for taking risks and not trying to appeal to such a broad audience that any…
@Tenshigure: I swear, I think Sega is trying to fail.
@somarix: First of all, don't take this personally, but I don't care if you had me hearted. I'm not commenting for the sake of impressing you. Secondly, when you make a statement, the burden of proof is on you. Don't expect other people to do the legwork to justify your arguments.
"It's quite the contrary. Sega make such bad marketing decisions, especially with release-dates and exported version, that you'd think they don't want our money.
