@Anarkiwi: @bigfreaky: Yea, but they are not part of Sega. They are an independent developer that is currently using Sega as a publisher. That arrangement could change at any time.

@dracosummoner: That page never says the emulators themselves are illegal. And it shouldn't, because they're not. It's even been proven in court. See the famous bleem! vs Sony case here for details: [en.wikipedia.org]
Let's face it, Sega is dead. Aside from their arcade division (which is slowly dieing), and frequent cash-ins on established franchises, they have nothing. Sega have turned into a bunch of paper pushers that care more about making money than making games. Ten years ago, making Sega a profitable company seemed like a…
I've never played a Metal Gear Solid game in my life. No wait. Actually, I did briefly play the first MGS game for the PSX, but I got bored shortly after beating the first level. From that moment on, I never touched an MGS game again.
@FlyingPuppet: The "world" classification has nothing to do with economic status. It was a terminology that came about during the cold war era. The following are the classifications' original definitions from Wikipedia's "Third World" page ([en.wikipedia.org]
I wish they'd just give us something simple and customizable like the Wii has. The current design is really incoherent and annoying to navigate. It's not scalable either. Pretty much impossible for them to add new things without increasing the time it takes to find what you're looking for. When it's this tough to…
@James Munson: Well yea, but my point was how close are you to someone you are so willing to drop your relationship with? Is that really even friendship? I dunno, maybe you'd need to have had a really close friend once to know what I'm talking about.
@BamboodPanda: Just drink a bottle of Mercury. It's pretty much the same thing. (Disclaimer: Doing this will kill you.)
"I think it's a pretty high standard to consider a "true friend" as someone who never lets you down. Our human failings almost guarantee that, at some point or other, we'll let each other down; even the people we care about. I think that, when those times happen, if you can put it behind you and feel that you still…
@Zunnoab: Open or not, how important are they to you? Would you readily drop them as friends if it were no longer as convenient to maintain your relationship as it is now?
I think it's very hard to have a real "friend" that you've met online, because you are always going to keep them at arm's length. No one is truly themselves on the internet. We all have our online persona, and many of us have dozens. Are you really friends with someone you know online, or rather who they are…
First of all, let's be clear on what is meant by "definitive". I don't think a game should be considered "definitive" purely based on it's iconic status. For a game to be definitive, it must have been both iconic, and highly influential. In other words, it defined the way future games would be made from the moment of…
@jwadeTC7: Frankly I don't think this thing will last long enough enough for them to do it. But hey, if one year from now I'm looking at an awesome library of games, a $100 price tag, and all the technical issues have been solved, I'll definitely get one. I just don't envision any of this actually happening.
@bmart008: Perhaps Kid Icarus is seriously underusing the system's potential. The 3DS can supposedly do graphics on par with this: [www.youtube.com]
This thing is rapidly descending into a complete abortion of an idea. Here is my reaction as the Natal story progressed.
@Pattypie: I thought it looked interesting, mainly because I was always a fan of mascot platformers. I think it has the potential to be a good game at least. But yea, this is all speculative. The whole list could turn out to be crap for all I know.
"You won't see a 3DS sitting on shelves this holiday... because it's very likely that it won't be released until after..."
@dantheman1515: So you're saying Gran Turismo 5, Little Big Planet 2, Yakuza 4, and a new Twisted Metal don't constitute a solid release list? Not to mention some interesting stuff that came out of left field, like Sorcery or Heroes on the Move. If you don't consider those games to be solid, I guess we must have very…
Nintendo really hit it out of the park. They delivered the most solid lineup of games at the show, and the most solid lineup of games they have had since the launch of the Wii. And as if that wasn't enough, the 3DS is looking to be portable gold. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm pre-ordering one the second they…
@Trent Dollarhyde: It wasn't that far off the mainstream Zelda series. It brought a lot of new ideas to the table, but in terms of gameplay it was very similar to Ocarina of Time. If any game was the odd man out in the series it was Zelda II for the NES.
