I just don’t understand why everyone expects everything to be free. Are developers supposed to spend hours and days and weeks developing an app to give it away for free? Would every single one of the readers here do that? I bought Solid Explorer without twitching and do not regret it all. Constantly asking for free

Google Photos does not allow you to manually tag someone in a photo. It relies on its own algorithm for that, but if someone’s face is covered, it won’t recognize them. Also, there is no red eye removal or real photo editing. I hope when they kill Picasa they add all those features.

I use the Trusted Devices option and have it unlock automatically when connected to my Android Wear watch. That way if I’m within 30 feet of my phone, it will be unlocked. Otherwise, I use a PIN. Works great.

So my question is this: when do the Quick Charge 2.0 battery packs start coming out?

Exactly. I have been waiting for Chrome for Android to support extensions for awhile now. Dolphin Browser has had extensions forever. WTH Google? It's not like Android doesn't support extensions!

You don't like closed source? So I'm guessing that you are using a Linux operating system with nothing but open source software, your cell phone is running the linux OS and is not an iPhone/Android/Windows Phone/Blackberry, you browse the internet in incognito-mode all of the time, and you keep all your money under

Wow, that looks amazingly similar to a Droid X. Having trouble coming up with unique designs nowadays?

I have the Sony NSZ-GT1 and the NSZ-GS7. I love both of them. It's a little frustrating that developer's aren't really interested in the Google TV platform and also that Google doesn't seem to put forth much effort to make it better. But I don't think I would go back. I do wish they were a little more powerful. A full

I really think that if a Technology site is going to do a review of a product, it should not be done by a fanboy, whether it's an Apple fanboy, Android fanboy, Windows, etc. This article is laughable if not maddening. I may have to remove Gizmodo from my RSS and move on to other gadget blogs. This article is just

I know the title states Android "phone", but it would be nice if you included tablets as well. Since the Xoom is really the only true Android tablet, it would be pretty simple to include. There are many other tablets such as the Archos tablets, Samsung Galaxy Tab, and such, however those are running non-tablet

That's nice and reminds me a lot of the Sony Google TV remote. However, it's lacking exactly what the Sony keyboard controller is lacking ..... backlit keys. If you're using it for your home theater, then you will probably be in the dark quite often. And trying to figure out which keys are you pressing when they

This works great for people with single monitors, but it doesn't recognize dual monitors. So you will just see images sized for one of your monitors. So, for dual monitor purposes, Google still reigns.

Actually, instead of using Omnibar or Foobar, I just use Ubiquity. I got so used to using Launchy in XP and the search box in Win7 that it just came natural. CTRL+Space and start typing. No need for the search box or these extensions.

I've been using MMS on my iPhone for quite some time. First I used SwirlyMMS and now I installed the ActivateMMS2G from Cydia. Granted my iPhone is jailbroken and unlocked for T-Mobile, but I have never had any issues with MMS. The Cydia hack makes it work just like a 3G/3GS would. #mms

I have to add another annoyance about the Contacts. I create several email groups and have several people with multiple email addresses. Why can you not add a user to a group and choose which email address from the contact it adds to that group?
