Google Photos does not allow you to manually tag someone in a photo. It relies on its own algorithm for that, but if someone’s face is covered, it won’t recognize them. Also, there is no red eye removal or real photo editing. I hope when they kill Picasa they add all those features.

I use the Trusted Devices option and have it unlock automatically when connected to my Android Wear watch. That way if I’m within 30 feet of my phone, it will be unlocked. Otherwise, I use a PIN. Works great.
