This truly is a bizarre article. A cheap kit of 16GB DDR4 (what most people are going to have in their system right now) goes for less than $50, that’s cheaper than most new games. Sure, it’s an extra cost to upgrade, but I mean you’re upgrading from playing games still playable on PS4 to playing games only playable

Id get the fuck over it and move on with my life for sure.

The PS5 runs it in 4K at 60fps

It doesn’t need 32. That’s merely the recommended spec. The minimum is 16.

Yes you can? Crunch is a management failure and not a sustainable way to run a business long term. There are absolutely studios out there which manage to put out polished releases with minimal to zero crunch hours involved. We just tend to only hear about the negative crunch experiences rather than the positive ones.

Eh, I have little patience for a game dev who launches a game in a sorry state.  Test it, and delay if you need.  Don’t launch a subpar product.  This wasn’t a case of a tiny % of folks having issues due to some odd hardware.

I mean, sure, it was inevitable and we all know how expensive these games are to develop

It amazes me the regularity that bootlickers and paid shills come out immediately in these articles to try and blame inflation instead of corporate greed and marketers justifying their salaries.

I mean, sure, it was inevitable and we all know how expensive these games are to develop and if you check how much $60 from twenty years ago would be with today’s inflation it’s something like $100 so there’s an argument that games “should” be even more expensive.

“I got this wrong, and I take responsibility for that.””

No, Mark, you are making 11,000 other people take responsibility for that. You are taking no responsibility.

Now playing

That game is full of tiny particles and sprites. What you’re seeing isn’t the game being slow, it’s the video encoder tanking frames because it can’t handle those particles efficiently.

If you read his entire post and replies, you’d know the Elon Musk thing was a response to a question. Not him saying he’s leaving because of Musk. Kotaku once again will take anything they can that sounds like Musk is causing problems and run with it. Love him or hate him he bought twitter fair and square. Most of you

Which low key? Like A? A Minor?

There’s a part of the game where you climb a ladder and slide down the Trump wall with ease, “de-escalate” by aiming assault rifles at Texans living in mobile homes, and then get arrested by police officers because you’re Mexican, only for the police officers to be immediately killed by middle eastern terrorists in

Yeha, Kotaku is trying to create a narrative against Hale, even though Taylor was very much in the wrong here.   15K for a week of work seems like a sweet deal to me. Esp when you look at the salaries of the people working on the actual game itself.

Luke, you’ve gotta be kidding me. Jason’s reporting deserves more than a tiny blurb at the bottom of this article, and you shouldn’t even be quoting Taylor at this point. You of all people know the significance of Jason’s article on this story and what it means for Taylor’s original statements. Please stop amplifying

Not putting the recent information uncovered by Bloomberg (which was referenced on Kotaku in an updated previous article) where it was proven that she was offered 4k PER session for 4+ sessions is pretty disingenuous.

Good. I don’t care how you feel about the whole situation, attacking Jennifer Hale for just doing her job (a job that she got after negotiations with Taylor fell through) is a pretty crappy thing to do.

Steve from GN has pretty fantastic track record.  His word is pretty much truth until proven otherwise in my book.  This trust has been built over YEARS of doing things the right way.
