I've been getting a lot of use out of my composite inputs too, mostly for picture in picture, for things like playing a game while watching a DVD.

The Infinity Ward shake up did hit the series pretty hard. Though Treyarch's games remained pretty solid I feel and took they games in some odd directions.

Counter-Strike players are satisfied fine with Counter-Strike, we don't need Call of Duty to do what Counter-Strike does, it's fine doing its own arcady thing.
