Actually, NASCAR deemed that Bowyer's spin was "inconclusive" and the penalties were actually based on Ty Norris orders to Brian Vickers. Big difference there.
Also, officially, the points penalties are pre-chase, so Bowyer will maintain his point total going into the chase...
