Happened to a friend of mine, we just got another guy's truck to drag their car away in a very haphazard fashion and left.

The only larger spaces are for handicap vans though! I mean, some serious wiggle room. Plus the truck has so many scratches, I wouldn't notice.

I'd say the best way to become a better driver is to try to remember what cars are near you and try to predict their moves. This type of spacial awareness makes lane changes much easier and quicker, without having to move your focus for very long. Just get better at knowing what's around you.
