Unions were great when laborers weren't getting safe conditions. But UAW basically screwed Detroit and eventually themselves. It's things like this that make me less sympathetic about the American auto industry. Ridiculous.

@Kraken: I was denied so I wrote a letter to my bank explaining my income and ability to pay for things and not living out of my means. I told them that I intend to use the card as a means to build credit, not to buy what I cannot afford. Just basically explain to them that you're safe.
