Yeah, was tough to nominate a car with a W12 and 480hp as a slow sports car, but in relative terms it was horrifically slow.

If we stretch it to racing cars, I nominate the Life L190 Formula 1 car from 1990. It didn't even pre-qualify in any of the 14 races they entered it in before pulling the plug. (First 12 with the W12 engine, and the last two with a V8) It is said it was more comparable and even outclassed by the cars in Formula 3, yet…
Has to be Campagnolo... Can't put the Japanese drivetrain (Shimano DuraAce) in an Italian exotic... That would be way too reliable
Yup, model number is it's race number I believe...
Agreed... not a good way to end a week...
Difficulty is increased with the addition of random kangaroo obstacles...
Parents had three 99's, two of which were tubos and one of which was tuned by Callaway back in '79/'80 in CT, before he made a name for himself with the Corvettes. They finally got rid of their last one in the mid-2000's. Was a sad day seeing it go...
Yup, thought I was going to be able to drive it last year when I was injured and the better half was skiing, only to find a bunch of XC skiers heading up the road that was packed with snow. Actually heading back up to Stowe this evening again, with at least the intent to ski this go round. I'll have to make a stop…
Have to throw my support behind this one too. Regardless of having family members that worked at the plant in Buffalo in the '10s-'30s, that is just a fantastic car.
That was exactly what I thought of when I saw it in profile. Although, I think it is more than a passing resemblance...
Agreed, I hated driving over that thing to get to and from Newport. Certainly in my top three for bridges that scared the crap out of me.
How about if in 1962 Enzo Ferrari decided that the future of his company might lie in Lamborghini's realm at the time... tractors. Given that this move would pre-empt Lamborghini's move into road going vehicles, and assuming that Lamborghini would no longer make such a move at that time, thereby not designing cars…
North, right?
For an ad, they at least got the car right...
