Hatred is a pretty strong term itself, and in most cases, never needs an adjective to describe it.
However, if we gripe at every little thing, rather than focus on the big picture (in this case, equal rights for homosexuals within most of our respective countries), the cause is diluted. Look at feminism in the 60s compared to feminism today. Feminism in the 60s was about the big picture: Equal rights for women.…
That's the thing, you jump from 'Making a joke about' to 'hatred' (Which is by nature, intense). There's kind of a whole spectrum of human emotion between the two. Everything has to be this big extreme, when really an extreme is a rarity.
I can kind of see your point about the article. When is it right to make a joke against another group? Should people of a group be allowed to make the jokes simply because they belong to said group? One of the best examples of the double standard was a scene in "White Chicks" (which I can't believe I'm using as an…
"The gay joke in Far Cry 3 - Blood Dragon is harmless. Or is it?"
The writer, ie the guy who wrote the joke in the first place, is gay. Not some random staff member. The guy who wrote the joke.
But there explanation's not even "we have a gay person on the team", it's "we have a gay person on the team and he wrote the joke".
So, basically, whenever someone writes a character, the character must be washed down to conform to the current standards of political correctness?
Do people MUST feel offended by something that was't directed at them?
where do YOU draw the line? fat people jokes? racist ones? sexist? pecked husbands ones? mexicans? …
Nice overreaction. It was just a troll post that you responded to. Elizabeth was a good character but I still prefer her original look to the finalized one. I really felt like i was escorting the woman from Disney's animated version of Beauty and the Beast when the commercials and promotional material have her looking…
She did the exact opposite for me (running into hostile turrets for "cover"). Executing non-scripted NPCs who are non-combatants has no reaction. She throws items in a very obviously timed pattern. The door locks where always the same and hilariously twice in the game the locks where place above a modelled door lock…
She's twenty. That ain't a 'young girl' unless you're an old.
"Her project aims to make their conduct morally taboo, if not stigmatized in mainstream society."
I think it's just that Jason really likes making fun of things, look at the big shitstorm he caused with his critique of Dragon's Crown. Yep, fabricate controversy, get page hits... profit?
Buy me Bonestorm or go to hell!
Oh boy the Draugr are back!
Chinese television dating shows are terrible. They're so bad that the Chinese even say their terrible. Unfortunately, they consistently get high ratings, so more and more episodes are produced.
Stop focussing on the big breasts and realize that a character can be eye candy or fan service as well as competent. You literally can't see past the breasts. You can't see that a character or person with big breasts could also be smart, resourceful, powerful and have agency over their actions.
"You dont go to art museum and point at David and yell "PUT SOME PANTS ON!"
"She's presented as a sexual object."
