It is 21mpg highway for full time 4WD. That’s a 10% jump over the outgoing V8 while knocking 1.2 seconds off 60. The UR would likely be 18mpg highway and ~8 seconds to 60 because this chassis is heavier than the 15 year old 150 platform.

Recharge time is the keypoint. It reduces the need for as many chargers because throughput at public chargers will be better. It will decrease the amount of battery needed which will reduce weight and improve efficiency. Smaller capacity batteries = lower cost. Lower weight = less wear on tires and roads (and safer

A well designed PHEV, like the Rav4 Prime, doesn’t turn the gas engine on unless you are asking for over 200hp or driving further than 42 miles. It is basically an EV for day to day driving while having the flexibility to do big day trips without taking out of the way routes or making additional stops to make it home.

The 25 year import rule annoys me more than the chicken tax.  Trucks are such a big part of the market in the US that you can pretty much find whatever shape, size, and configuration you want.  Waiting 25 years for vehicles not offered here means that attrition takes out a huge portion of the cars we could buy.  The

Screenname... doesn’t check out.

I believe those are the running lights.  The headlights are mounted in the housing down low.

There are certainly some elements on trucks that don’t reflect the pricetag.  Reflector headlights in a $57k truck? 2021 F250 Lariat says “sure”.

I have the same wheels on my 4Runner. Great looking wheels. They do stink to wash, though!

You can order Toyotas. It comes down to the dealership’s willingness to order and your willingness to wait. It’s 3-4 mo wait for an ordered vehicle. With there not being a ton of permutations anymore, it’s just as easy to find what you want using cars.com or autotrader, though.

My mom’s 1997 Yukon used what appeared to be the same window mechanism of the longer wheelbase Suburban, so the windows only went down like 6" due to the fender cutout. Ridiculous.

Assuming things about people by the car they drive is:

This is the correct take. The CHR was supposed to be a Scion so it was never federalized with AWD and came with an old, simple powertrain to keep the cost Scion friendly. This will likely come in hybrid variants, AWD, and the 2.0L that is currently in the Corolla and UX. And the 2 box shape instead of coupe, high

Double post.

I haven’t had anything more than the typical driver not leaving enough space... but I did lose one of my closest friends a little over a year ago when a driver was looking at her phone. He is the first person in this Outside obituary.

Bad headline is bad. You can’t get a $40k Lightning with 563hp.  Adding “up to” right before 563hp is all it needs for accuracy.

1% is a generic name for people earning $500k/yr here in the US. The average Porsche owner in north america earns $500k/yr. Or course there are cheaper Porsches and there are people that will stretch to 70mo payments, but I don’t think that is representative of the fat part of the bell curve.

Challenger V6 is 303hp, Redeye is 797hp.

Found this quote:

My understanding is that Android gets it’s market share dominance based on the fact that the cheapest phones use Android OS. There were 1,500,000,000 new phones sold in 2017... which would be spread all the way from people living in first world poverty to the ultra rich. Porsche sold 270,000 vehicles in 2020. Those 270

Wouldn’t they be consecutive Indy 500s instead of concurrent?
