You know man made religion when your god hates all the same people you do.

We, sadly, do have to pay attention. They're too numerous to ignore. And because so, so many people espouse these beliefs, it's easy for them to get into power and really fuck shit up for us. It's just another way we have to constantly have out guard up...
It's fun to ignore intelligent debate when you've lost, isn't it?
It doesn't matter what you've done or what you've been through, calling people idiots for being out alone at night will always be a shitty thing to do. It will always be illogical, too, because it doesn't address rape as it really is. It pretends that rape is the stranger in the alley, a trope that is believed all too…
Look. I was crass with you because you basically called me an idiot for getting raped at age eight. I realize that's not the best way to change someone's opinion, but it was really inappropriate, hurtful, and uncalled for. I apologize if that caused me to become angry with you.
I hate, hate, HATE the "human nature" defense. It's so reductive and it gives rapists something to hide behind. I hate it when people in power use it especially, because it means nothing's changing.
So victims of rape are idiots. Good. Check. Thanks for that. I'll tell eight-year-old me that she's a fucktard because she got locked out of her house and tried to walk to her friend's house up the street and ended up raped by a neighbor. Haha, what a crazy, irresponsible, stupid child I was. What's that? Oh, it…
You can't just change the meanings of words based on what you *want* them to mean.
Does that mean that when a couple is trying to have children, but they don't get pregnant, that they were somehow intentionally not getting pregnant because sometimes sex doesn't result in a pregnancy?
Did they talk to anyone who identified as bisexual? Any trans people?
I'm also partial to "cliteracy" or the act of being "cliterate." Cliterate would describe someone who's knowledgeable about clitoral stimulation and orgasm.
So...what? They should teach her to be afraid of sex because someday, maybe, she'll be afraid of sex anyway? That's silly. It's important to talk to kids about sex early and to let them know it isn't shameful. If she grows up to think it's shameful, then that's her choice. Kids are gonna do what they do. There's not a…
I do wish I could edit my post to let everyone know I admit that I fucked up, though, haha. People generally only read the first few comments and haven't seen anything I said after.
I already realized my comment was silly and apologized.

No biggie. We've all been there, too. :)
As I've already said, in case you missed my other posts, I was short-sighted and ignorant about this. I've apologized.
