I very much see your point with the second concern. But I also have seen that concern used as a cheap excuse. Yes, people SHOULD recognize that BG3 is a confluence of positive developments and luck. But also? Hard work. Giving a shit about the end user experience. Not letting the license entirely dictate the gameplay

I had the same experience with the spider matriarch and felt like an absolute hero for pulling it off.  Note on the githyanki “romancing” - it helped me with immersion and when she was an ass to me later it definitely added to my feelings about it :)

Personally, I’m going to wager that the “ghost” company, made by VCs to extract value out of a specific market, by targeting that market’s most favored qualities (speed, notoriety, and food familiarity), is going to do fine during discovery, and during the trial. I agree with you that they won’t want to do discovery

There was at least one lawsuit where someone was suing for more money than has ever existed since we came up with the concept of money.

Oof yeah, that’s a bit tougher. I mean you might still be able to handle most of them. But any companion with okayish dex and Sleight of Hand will be fine, especially since you can just keep reusing kits until you succeed on traps and locks. Sometimes using a big beefy character on traps isn’t a bad idea, that way

Depending on your player character, you might not need him. I’ve got a warlock PC with mediocre dexterity but I added proficiency in sleight of hand and perception. For the majority of the game I’ve been able to do locks and traps without needing Astorian in my group. I liked him a lot at first, but he gets tougher to

And it’s on a thousand different YT channels in 3... 2... 1...

That’s one way to get those MAUs up ABK. Gate your Pixar shit. It’s all you have left in terms of relevancy. :’( Can’t wait for $20 cinematics. Anyways, fuck that, I’ll watch a rip. lmao

Post Malone would be a great name for a basketball player.

Hardcore roleplay you say?

Apparently it’s a self imposed “death” if he falls. Can’t fault him for sticking to his guns on it, reaction be damned.

exactly this, it seems like a lot of people don’t grasp the concept of this well. Reminds me of my MTG days when I would set deck building rules for my various commander decks for casual play. things like “no basic lands” or “every card is either a land or a planeswalker.” some people couldn’t wrap their heads around

Yep. The #MemeStock thing only made sense because investment firms were over shorting the stock. Buying some stock as part of that wave and then cashing out before the crash was a smart play. But some people turned Diamond Hands into a religion and refuse to accept that they’re victims of sunk cost fallacy.

Wow, it’s almost like if you don’t obsess on opening weekend grosses or short theatrical windows, movies eventually find an audience.

People, including myself, laughed at Chuck E Cheese for setting up a fake pizza joint during the pandemic but you can’t blame them for trying to keep the lights on anyway they could during a lockdown. The problem is even the “upscaled” pizza they sold was still Chuck Entertainment Cheese Pizza.

Came to post this very link!

He’s voiced by an actual 15-year-old. You’re thrown off because you’re used to the Turtles being voice acted by grown men in their 30's.
