Strikers is actually really cool, gameplay wise. The visual style and music are still there, the cooking mechanic still exists to give different buffs and the story, while not revolutionary, is memorable. It’s different from a lot of Warriors-style games in that it’s more similar to dungeon/ palace progression from

1. Haha, no. I’d guess a demon/persona summoning gacha. If you’re lucky, each persona of the same type will have the same starting base stats. you won’t be lucky. get back to grinding for macca.
2. probably? I don’t play them, but I get the impression that time gating has been fading out in exchange for gachas, as a

(If this ends up being some bullshit gacha game I will still enjoy watching all the cutscenes on YT 100x more than most games I will actually play this year)

There is never a low too low for ttansphobes to dip to, but transphobes keep finding surprising new lows. One day my jaw is going to open so wide and then I’ll swallow a transphobe whole. And I’m not even trans!

You might be a little unhinged too if one of the two political parties in your country was calling for your genocide.

It is a shame. I did like him in the role. But there is definitely such a thing as having enough money to make trifling with shit that you don’t truly love a thing you don’t have to do. For me, it’s raking leaves. Ain’t doing that shit ever again. But if you want a chubby black middle aged Batman, holler at your boy.

The first headline I read about this topic this morning was “Affleck Refuses to Direct DC Movie for James Gunn” and all the Snyder fanboys jumped on it. “Ooooh, Affleck’s shading Gunn! Affleck says James Gunn doesn’t know what he’s doing! Restore the Snyderverse!” etc etc.

It’s a really complex subject, because we are 100% not there for combining the categories into one. Even if we kept the number of awards the same, we’d run into the issue of who gets nominated. I think at this point people generally don’t treat them as having different levels of prestige - an award for Best Actress

Also, people get upset enough that only 4 performers win each year; imagine how much more upset they’d be if only 2 could win each year?

The only good thing that was discovered from Nazi Scientists were the notes they kept. We knew what NOT to do thanks to their experiments.

I’ll bite, what misdeeds did West Germany and NATO get up to in the decades after WW2? How were they a fascist militarized society? Whom did they invade and occupy?

I get what’s being said here but I disagree with the ending conclusion; I don’t think Kane’s Imperial loyalty undercuts the rest of the episode’s portrayal of the New Republic at all. It’s not like if one thing is portrayed as evil the opposition is automatically being framed as good.

Knew it was going to happen, but I think it’s a mistake to liken the amnesty program to operation paperclip. Paperclip specifically sought out scientists to work on their area of expertise. Pershing was scooped up along with everyone else, in what seems to be a much more run-of-the-mill re-integration program.  As you

I mean, that’s the Doylist explanation.

It’s too bad Germain was on holiday this week. It would’ve been good to get a recap on this one from someone who engages with what the episode/show is about, and not just what they *want* it to be about.

I really enjoyed this episode quite a lot. I think it’s okay for characters to just do things instead of waxing poetically on dark bridges in noir shadows - not that I mind the latter at all. It’s just two different approaches. Also - many of these events are still playing out in real time. I’m sure Din, for

Pershing’s “It was a trap!” protestation directed at the Mon Calamari was particularly amusing.

Oh damn, are you saying that a TV show known for mixing episodic and serialized narratives that is only 3 episodes into its current season didn’t answer all of your questions about the plot and character arcs of this season? That’s so weird, surely no other TV show has ever done that. I swear to god, no one on the

Someone summed it up as “The Princess Bride, but with Clive Barker monsters,” and that seems pretty much apropos.
