Side note: Why “Hades 2"? Why not name it after, you know, the game’s main character?

Yeah, I can’t see any other reason for this timing than to bury the story.
I was watching a video of a Youtuber wondering why EA doesn’t simply start Madden from scratch (since the current engine is clearly square peg/round hole with their sports games) and it’s like....that’s YEARS these days in terms of building a game from the ground up with the current hardware, engines, etc. AAA is now…
Or, if you do, go bold. Bring the TACKIEST blazer of all time alongside a charity t-shirt with a fucking bowtie. Commit to the absolute clown look.
Something I really like about the show is that not only are both Willow and Kit pretty much dicks, but I get why they are like that. That’s not to defend either of them, but rather they are setting up these character arcs for them. Additionally all of the main cast are flawed, but they are so in different ways that…
So like a typical session of D&D.
Teenage years suck and the added notoriety of being Cruz’s daughter probably makes navigating society a bit harder than it should be. An event like this being plastered over the Internet gives another weapon for people to attack a young woman who has little control over why she’s so notable.
It’s no more costly to develop games
The discs, packaging, and shipping were always a pittance of the actual overhead cost of bringing the product to market. The money is spent on the development and marketing, and the budgets required for AAA games are in the hundreds of millions of dollars.
The story beats were good, but the actual execution of the story was a big whiff.
It was actually good. The gameplay was fun (and you bet I turned the difficulty down for boss fights) and the story was just as good. No masterpiece, but this is star wars. Good vs evil, some friendship, yada yada.
I enjoyed it, but it was pretty clear that it was cut way down from something bigger to make its release, and the pacing and character development suffer for it.
The real zombies were the friends we lost along the way.
There is no “sub” to the text and it’s glorious.
I do like hearing that they’re taking a lighter hand with it. Not because I don’t like hardcore survival gameplay, because I do. But based on fallout 4 Bethesda understands survival as a “harder” difficulty mode, but I like it more as a “different” difficulty mode. I don’t want you to make the game harder, I want you…
I need to mention something about the history. The weird phrasing about Col Shaw has already been addressed below, but I need to explain that the 1st Louisiana Native Guard is a unique unit. It was originally a Confederate unit, and it was made up of mixed race creole men who were considered the upper planter class…
I think the construction implies that a story can be both invented and broadly true to life in the way it reflects inter-personal dynamics, broader social factors, etc, while, on the other hand, there are invented stories that ring false because they don’t accurately reflect those factors.
I will listen to arguments that stories about black soldiers no longer (and never should have in the first place) need white central figures like Shaw. Ebert said that in his review of Glory.
But I’d counter with this: Because Ferris Bueller and Westley from Princess Bride agreed to be in a movie, Denzel got an Oscar…
Keep this movie’s review OUT your fucking MOUTH!
Well, this review is a real slap in the face.
