If they would have played the sound, the audience might feel some unpleasantness, but it would have broken the illusion that it drives people mad. H.P. Lovecraft was a master of letting the minds of his readers fill in the blanks. An undefined horror is much more frightening because there is no greater author of

Newspapers were the original “you’re the product, not the consumer,” as subscription fees were just delivery fees for papers that were, themselves, products to carry print advertising to eyeballs.

Subscriptions/paywalls are actually what’s keep the survivors of the transition to much cheaper digital advertising alive.

I used three of the explosive charge modules I usually use for a different project

but hes not a brilliant engineer.  hes just a carnival barker.  spacex is thriving in spite of elon. and teslas engineers cant stand him.  hes not popular here in austin and people only go there to have it on their resume and they start looking at other places immediately.

No mention that this piece was released on the day the SAO incident took place within the story? November 6, 2022 was the day everyone was first trapped.

They should have a sped-up version with the sloths... people coming and going in the background, tables being made... customers served... cleaned up, new customers arrive... all the while the waiter zipping in and out, in and out, checking on the sloth couple. Meanwhile the sloth couple are moving all ‘regular’ like,

Except Andromeda was fine and was actually better in some ways than the OT (namely character depth from the start).

I don’t really want Shephard to return, as I’d prefer a new trilogy tread new ground instead of being focused on ‘hey, remember all of your friends from the good old days?’ The only scenario here that sounds appealing is the idea of Liara finding hints over her long lifespan that Shephard may not be gone, and

I feel like this exchange is also laying the groundwork for Mon Mothma to show that she’s more than just the well-placed financier that she appears to be at this point, and become the unifying leadership figure that brings these disparate groups together, as we know she ultimately does.

Bookings for most of 2022 are still available and 2023 is completely open. Looks like interest crashed and they aren’t running full bunks anymore, which isn’t a great sign. Surprised that there was no link to that fantastic Defunct land video:

The problem is “not being able to pull it off” likely means dead drivers. NASCAR can’t ban it for this year, but next year it’s probably gonna be in the rulebook.

NASCAR needs to look into banning this in future races. Otherwise, it’s going to lead to a lot of copycats and eventually someone isn’t going to be able to pull it off.
