Not only jobs, houses in the US are getting older and more expensive (at least in places people actually want to live). I paid half a million for a house i basically had to cut. I started tackling projects on my own to save money, and very quickly needed a truck of my own. Used F150, 7 years old, nothing crazy. I work

If a Chinese news site is casting doubt on the safety of the vehicle, that’s a good indicator that it’s not great.

I could see use for these in communities that allow golf carts and other low speed vehicles but in real life? Nope. The MINI EV has a top speed of 65. that would get me run off the road on a good part of my commute.

I’ve never had any interest whatsoever in a Hummer....but now that you’ve compared it to Big Wheels for adults, I want one.

It’s crazy that the same people who want cheap electric vehicles are often the ones pushing for more safety regulation in the US car market.  You can’t have both.

What’s wild is that GM, the parent of GMC, has already produced a cool, popular electric car that fits that bill. The Hong Guang MINI EV is available in China for a bit more than $4,100. The average American drives 31 miles per day (at least before the pandemic), which is less than half the range of this little guy.

Ey yo I think you answered your own query there.

It’s fine for what it is. It’s a big electric truck that emits none of the dirty particulates of the standard brodozer. People still need to tow large loads and if this is the start to the electric truck revolution so it trickles down to the lower price points, then so be it. I don’t see landscapers and contractors

What I find particularly strange is that apart from JDM imports we didn’t get the Blazer in Australia and New Zealand. Given that we are a RHD market and at the time Holden could have done with a decent mid-sized SUV. They had the horrible Holden(Isuzu/Vauxhall) Frontera and the dated but OK Holden (Isuzu/Vauxhall)

Seriously. The grille IS the problem. I honestly hadn’t even noticed the headlights and even looking at them now, they’re fine. That grille on the other hand...

It’s not handling people complain about it’s the feeling of the handling.  You can’t sense what the car is doing anymore.  The feedback isn’t right with the electric power steering.

Alfa Romeo kindly disagree and would like to suggest you a test drive of the Giulia...

I think a better title would be “The Grille Isn’t the Only Problem”

i disagree with this hot take.

Boy, the 7-series design really and truly peaked back then. I don’t know what they were trying to do with the current one.

Are you kidding? The e39 is the best looking sedan ever made. Add the the e46 and e34 that was the peak of BMW design. Before it got all bangled up.

At the very least putting the V12 in it.

I would also add the LC500 to its list of competitors, especially because it would be really close between that and the 911 if I were shopping in this segment. The BMW isn’t even worth going down to the dealer and sitting in compared to the 911 and LC IMO.

Oh right... BMWs used to be attractive.

Probably because it looks like a fucking Mustang.
