You do realize that several European automakers, including BMW and Porsche, have released manual-transmission cars that were ONLY available in the US, right? For example, the E60 M5 was only available with a manual in the US; the rest of the world was SMG-only.

So, I was saying they’re very different cars.

Amost every single one of this cars competitors has a stick. Mustang, Camaro, 370z, 718, etc. All can be optioned to row ya own.

On the negative side, if it has auto start/stop, BMW’s 4 cylinders sound like shit on start-up...

No thank you.  Much much better vehicles out there.  I’d prefer an automatic before owning one of these.

I’m fine with people picking the Mustang. But it’s in a whole different size class, and saying the only thing going for the Supra is its weight is just not true.
