Wow, I did not realize that. My Porsche game is off! Partially b/c I think the new 992 is quite ugly (in comparison). That sucks, though I imagine Porsche will “plug that hole” in their line up.

As soon as there’s a Computer involved, I call foul.

It’s one of the ugliest cars currently on sale in the US.  By a mile.

...base 911 has a manual

To be competitive the Turbo 3 needs to have an MSRP under $30,000, and I just do not see that happening.  My guess is $32,000.

I miss them so bad!  Though admittedly, I never owned a car with pop up headlamps.  First car was an ‘85 Accord 2 door (pop up headlights came on the following generation).  And my second car was a ‘92 Integra GS-R (only first gen had pop up headlamps).

I have my doubts when Lotus struggles to build...anything right now.

That’s great, and pretty amazing!

Yeah I get pretty pissed myself when I’m asked for advice only to have the advice seeker buy something not even remotely related to what we discussed.

But is it AWD?

Mazda still gets it. They just cannot afford to develop it. They are a small company. The FWD Mazda 3 hatchback only has an available manual for the higher level trim. Which is the opposite of what you’re suggesting above.

An Accord Sport with the 1.5T is $27k. The Sport with the 2.0T is almost $32,000.

Pricing hasn’t been announced for the US yet. But given that an AWD 3hatchback now bumps against $30k, it’s pretty clear this car will cost over $30,000.

Agreed.  But sadly that is not a high bar.

It looks too much like their cheaper sedans.  A striking design from the side, but the front and rear need to stand out more.

I bet you’re the type of person offended by the cross as well.

also not hanging from the ceiling, but sure go ahead.

apparently you don’t see that many ropes. it’s a garage door pull down.

True, but haven’t they been pushing it for longer than the US?  Also, it will be forever funny that they think/thought diesel with its particulate emissions is less harmful than gasoline engines that emit more co2

Heck, Tesla is already moving on with battery tech that doesn’t require cobalt.  Which is good for everyone.
