I haven’t heard anyone complain about the M2, in comparison the 1M.  It looks better, is faster, and handles better.  A little heavier, but not much.  Compared to all the other stuff BMW does wrong these days, this is pretty trivial.

I highly doubt any single automaker will be selling 1,000,000 EVs annually within the next few years.

They are actually.  The average income of an Eclass wagon buyer is one of the highest of all Mercedes models.

Lots of vehicles have this issue. And it’s painfully obvious on some. Honda Civic (current generation), 3 Series BWM (current and previous generation) are first ones that come to mind. Look at them from the side and the artificially lifted hood height basically slaps you in the face.

Oh i agree, but given the low friction coefficient of street surfaces covered in snow, not a lot of wear going on if you’re in area that rarely gets snow. And if you’re in an area that gets a lot of snow (or snows often) then you should have snow tires and can thus avoid this maneuver altogether! See? haha.

And yet, for the most part, modern headlights don’t provide better visibility than older ones.  So maybe they should stay larger...and provide better visibility.  Just a thought (of course wouldn’t surprise me if that’s some stupid regulation thing).

It’s one Golf model of many, look elsewhere for the hybrid.

I think the headlight height stayed the same.  Pretty sure the hood height went up.

Not really sure how the interior is nicer and more ergonomic.
