We’re already there. Once you get to sub 3 (sub 4 really IMO) I care a lot more about engine smoothness, engine sound, transmission engagement, and car styling.

I agree 100% and have thought that for a while. My only hope is that if the 928 comes back (Panamera coupe) then they could start shrinking the 911 again.  95% certain that’s a pipe dream, but a man can dream.

Canceling the 928 is the worst thing that ever happened to the 911. Bloat and more GT-ness qualities rose exponentially shortly after the 928 was discontinued.

Personally, I’ve seen one. That’s it. On the flip side I haven’t seen a single new Z4 yet.

No, lithium isn’t plentiful enough (and more importantly, plentiful enough in US friendly countries).  More conventional/common materials are needed for them ever to take over the majority from ICEs.
