Mazda technically doesn’t have a Fit competitor. The Mazda2 is only sold in the US as a Scion (or Toyota now?) and their CX-3 is labeled a CUV (though honestly I actually would call that, in my opinion, a Fit competitor).

Don’t forget about high quality materials and long term durability as well.
Pavement buckling from heat isn’t something new. It happened 8-9 years ago here in my area of NC on some of the freeway roads.
Most SUVs are a huge loophole around emission regulations. Doesn’t matter what country you’re in. It’s true. A FWD based unit body wagon lifted up 6 inches is still a car, not a truck, and should be regulated as such. Not as a truck (since it’s not a truck).
Subaru doesn’t build a single real SUV. Just cars parading around as such.
I feel like anyone that’s a “car person” knows that Subaru’s quality has been crap for a while. That their commercials claim something about more cars on the road after 10 years than Honda/Toyota kinda blows my mind. Just how?
Does BMW even know how to still make a driver’s car? At this point all they’re gonna let you do is steer and maybe control the throttle and braking.
Man, come on. I’m talking about comparing somewhat similar cars. Like a Cayman S against a 911 S or GTS. Not a GT3 against a Cayman S/GTS lol.
The 911 in it’s modern form is now chubby and large. The 987/981s are more in line with the 911's historical dimensions.
once you get to 4 seconds or less it doesn’t really matter on the street.
Redline is 200 rpm higher than last GT4.
Yup, exact same gear ratios as every other Cayman since 2006...
That may be, but from my experience on track it’s considerably easier (as a driver) to reach a higher pace of speed in my Cayman than the 911's I’m around.
Carrera GT > 918
I’ve had FWD CUVs for road trips and never topped 30 mpg. Meanwhile in similar sized cars it’s not terribly difficult to hit 40. EPA numbers aren’t always very accurate.
Can we get a detailed article on all classes except LMP1? Talk about boring.
sedans still have a 25% edge over CUVs, when you go apples to apples.
They always apologize for their dogs’ behavior whenever I’m outside talking to them. As to other neighbors. At least 3 people that live across the street also have dogs that won’t STFU.
Headline says the wagon is here. Then near bottom of article says probably not coming to US. Here = US.
Good article David, thought the content seems pretty run of the mill as far as race tech goes. It’s NASCAR though so I suppose they’re still 30-40 years behind.
