4 words. Excessive crash safety regulations.

It’s a problem if cars keep getting larger and nothing smaller takes their place in the line up. Also a problem if something smaller (and noticeably inferior) takes that place.

Coupes for life here.

Yeah, this was a pretty stupid comment on Raphael’s part.

I thought Mazda was very detailed with that for the purpose of saving weight.

Never gets old, and is still wrong.  Fossil fuels have raised the standard of living for more of the Earth’s population than anything else in history.  Try educating yourself a bit more.

Cool, it’ll give more people and organizations the chance to make money.

I love cars and I love New York City.  But wtf does this topic have to do with a car website?  Either create a NYC transportation sub-blog or just leave it out altogether.

Let’s just call those vehicles what they really are:  hatchbacks.

Cars and trucks keep getting bigger.  But parking spots sure as hell are not.  (I only own small cars so not an issue for me, but just saying...)

Well, increasing mpg’s is the holy grail right?  Lighter weight always makes that easier.  So that’s one thing.

Yikes, haha.  That would not be ideal.  Technically we should all be restraining our dogs in harnesses when we drive (for their safety) but I don’t do that either.  My dog, however, is perfectly content enjoying the ride and leaving me alone.

Why the heck do you need to cage a 14 lb dog?

On a related note, the amount of crap parents haul around for their kids has also reached the limit of insanity.

Everyone should. Because if it were smaller (or really just the same size as F30) it’d be LIGHTER still.

I own 2, and have continuously driven manuals for 20 years.

I thought you couldn’t configure X-Drive with a manual transmission?

The revised E46 front is more or less universally less attractive than the original E46 front. So this seems like a really weird move. “Hey remember when we made the E46 ugly?”

That runway had to be about 40 miles long, or longer. IIRC one of the Dodge Chargers “hit 200" during that scene?  HAHAHA

Don’t forget about the bulletproof Lamborghini door.
