I still have my Rama CDs. Loved that game at the time, because I was in the middle of reading through the third book in the series when it came out. I wonder if it runs on modern Windows?

I know you’re being funny, but the document was kinda disappointing. It’s like a random musing “Hmm, I wonder what a good astronomy game would have in it? Here are two potential vague ideas about travelling from one place to another. The end.”

Greeee-heeee-heeeeasy.

Sure, we may not see “Ultra HD Texture” mods and “Add 500 more props per square metre of city space” ones, or if we do they’ll obviously bog down the game on console, just like they would on a few-year-old mid-level gaming PC right now.

If they did their job properly with the engine, I’m guessing the mod SDK will be available on PC to all owners, and authored content is shared cross-platform. Project Spark works that way with UGC.

That’s nothing. I used to be a Guide in Everquest, and was present at the launch of the Planes of Power expansion. The only way to get into the expansion (initially) was through clickable books-on-pedestals scattered throughout various zones in the world, mostly close to the various racial home cities.

I believe you mean Star Wars Kraft Dinner*?

Why would they give their entire Xbox 360 library out for free to X1 owners? Nobody would ever buy a 360 game again.

Everyone’s all busy saying “wtf Microsoft?!” but it’s not their decision alone. The publishers have to give approval, and probably sometimes, access to source code so Microsoft can patch any emulation issues.

Well said. I always roll my eyes when someone waggles their finger at a game mechanic for not being realistic enough. It’s called a “game mechanic” for a reason, not a “realism simulation”.

As an added bonus, they give you a spare Sonic in case you lose one.

On top of the voices of K-9, Davros and the Daleks during the Story the Adventure world has side-quests with Captain Jack Harkness, Madam Vastra, Strax, Missy/The Master, and others. They all sound like the originals.

This addon was the main tipping point for me getting Lego Dimensions in the first place, and I’m loving the content in this pack. The new Adventure World may be “Modern London”, but there are other pieces of other Time/Places that get unlocked as you progress through it. (Avoiding spoilers here, but it’s a neat

As Mike said, an hour and a half for the story mission. But there’s also the new adventure world to eat up time with puzzles and gold bricks and races and quests, as well as the new areas/minikits/etc you can get in the other levels using the Doctor’s abilities or the TARDIS unique travel points.

I’ll be dabbling with AC: Syndicate when the kids are in bed. Otherwise it’ll be Lego Dimensions and trying out Pneuma since it was free.

I’m happy with Lego Dimensions, though it won’t make many peoples’ lists. I’ve always loved the Lego games, and having all these IPs mashed together is a lot of fun.

I’m excited for Lego Dimensions’ Doctor Who level pack on the 3rd (6th?)

Especially when one of the benefits of Windows 10 game development is improved memory management. Y’all must’ve made some messed-up calls to DirectX to manage an INCREASE in required RAM.

I loved Alan Wake. I’ve never been huge on horror games because I don’t always enjoy the Terror part you mention. Alan Wake managed to be creepy and ominous without the need to go “BOO!” very often.
