Why did this even come up? Every time I was talking about “games” I was referring to an individual session with innings, a start and an end; not the sport of softball.

Quit splitting hairs for no good reason, it just comes off as pedantic. Nobody really cares about the “sport” distinction except people who probably

Yeah, way to show those coaches by making those little kids play extra games. That’ll teach them. While they sit on the sideline sipping coffee.

I really didn’t like TS3. Not because of poor writing or bad character focus or such, but because it was so goddamned traumatic to my 4 and 6 year old. The melting scene had them screaming in tears, at which point I shut it off. There had been a few times before when I said to myself “this IS a kids movie, right?” I

My starring is broken, or I would. The second season was a bit better, but the mechanics were all about the same. I don’t think I ended up finishing it or Wolf Within, despite really wanting to like them.

I think when used in gaming it’s more a general “writing” thing than the specific two-person conversation. We talk about voice actors recording game dialogue. But they’re sitting by themselves in a recording booth, and sometimes indeed narrating the game.

SOMEBODY SET US UP THE BOMB!

I imagine it in a Shatner delivery style.

They certainly pushed the envelope for story-telling games in the popular circles, but they weren’t as great as people heralded, much like Skyrim.

The obvious choice is the classic Zero Wing intro “All your base are belong to us.” The whole thing is just so bad it’s tear-inducing.

I know, right? It didn’t fit the voice work at all. So rigid, not even any facial expressions except in a few rare cinematics.

The emulation is done in a two-layer way. It literally emulates a 360, dashboard and Xbox Live and all. But it also does independent patching on titles for whatever reason. Perhaps it’s patching on both platforms, maybe just improved emulation performance/stability.

“I think Rare developed this emulator and MS was all” etc.

When I load of my Xbox One, in the far right of My Games and Apps is the “Ready to Install” section, right? Where you see all your digital Xbox One games.

No... just, no... Rare is owned by Microsoft now, thus all the games listed are Microsoft published. Therefore, they have full rights to the games’ source code if they need to examine it for compatibility issues, or to create patches.

All Microsoft-published games that don’t have their IPs tied up in sequels or HD rereleases. Meaning they have access to the source code if they needed to dive into it to examine an issue with the emulation.

I had a bit of a giggle the other day when I was streaming my phone to my Xbox while snapping “TV”, which was my Windows 10 PC, running the Xbox app. It was like a square overload.

Are either of your devices on WiFi? Choppy 1080p streaming over WiFi is purely a tech limitation. You can’t avoid dropped packets, signal noise and lower ping without plugging a cable in.

Actually, the streaming has absolutely nothing to do with internet speed. Not one byte of data ever leaves your Local Area Network.

Windows 10 will fix that issue, I hope. Android and iOS can be imported almost directly onto WP 10 thanks to emulation. But from my understanding, it’s up to the app developers to submit to the Windows Store, rather than end-users downloading APKs and running them willy-nilly.
