Luckily it came with a very nice branded backpack with a perfectly-sized sleeve to fit it into. Still, I had to walk 5 miles once lugging it on my back. Wasn't fun. And sadly, it was only a single-core because multi-cores were still fairly new to personal computers and expensive and yeah... that thing limped along for

If it's the season I'm thinking of, they were the Dell XPS gaming laptops. I had one of the same. Brushed metal casing, lights in the vents and back panel. Heavy buggers, mine was 11 pounds.

So... uh... the idea is to create the world's first unbiased news source... in order to review video games... which are opinion-based articles... by stalking women.

Sleeping Dogs for a fun criminal sandbox game that takes itself (fairly) seriously and has an engaging story. Diablo's a fun couch-co-op game, which gives it definite plus-points in my book if you have friends to play with. GTA V for torture minigames, auto-aim death online mode and ... well... you know. It's GTA.

I always thought the GTA V woman looked like Yvonne Strahovski. The actress from Chuck and the voice of Mass Effect's Miranda among other things.

Plex sounds interesting, though the pricing seems odd for not providing new media. On a positive note, the Xbox One preview has us testing the new Media Player, which enables USB and network media browsing and playback.

You can run around the entire city, you can do quite a few side missions and the leaderboard things with the player, all without breaking the session or going to menus or such.

A friend of mine showed me this last night. We did it for 45 minutes. I was intensely bored. I'll stomach a grind if there's no choice (like in the old days of Everquest with rare spawns and rare drops,) but for the sake of grinding on trivial mobs to try your luck at the random number generator to give worthwhile

So, you don't need to pay for a new game because you bought yourself two copies of an older game, probably at a drastically discounted price.

Steam is popular and has sales, therefore it can do no wrong. I thought you knew?

And loss of support for DirectX, except through wrappers or WINE which will hamper resources.

Yeah I was humming it in my head all through the article/comments...

Something, something, Smash Bros, blah... I have no idea beyond that. I guess it's Link getting an item and... getting knocked out of the ring. The guy in the jar is probably the over-our-head punchline, though. I haven't played a Zelda game since Ocarina of Time.

Huh, that kinda stinks. I have TR on Steam, but my PC is less capable than my Xbox One so I never pushed it to the limits anyway. TressFX at 1080p was choppy in most conditions, even with low-medium settings. I could do it with lower resolution at medium, but it felt too fuzzy on my cheap monitor.

It says in the article it does... or do you mean future content? I wasn't aware the consoles got more content than PC for TR.

Sorry, but which Saint's Row was a serious game? Or was that literally meaning back on the planet Earth? Because I don't recall any of the games taking themselves seriously. That's what I loved about them.

It should do, the PC version looks nicer and runs smoother even on my mediocre PC. The X1 has more power than my PC, so... apart from platform-specific bugs/tech differences, it should run very smooth.

Damn... I bought SoD on Xbox 360 release and even rebought it on PC just last month when GMG had it on deep discount.

Obvious Microsoft Hateboy is obvious. (Kinda like the opposite of fanboys.)

You can absolutely play solo, or even local co-op. It'll be harder with fewer people, but more controlled since other people won't interfere with guards, etc. I found the later missions almost impossible solo, but it's doable.
