I think my nostalgia factor doesn't hit as deep for Nintendo franchises because I split my time between NES, Genesis and early DOS PC games like Sierra's Quest series. Plus being a mostly only child meant I didn't play many of the "party games" that popularized the platform like Mario Kart, Party, Smash Bros, etc. I

But that's a sad moment, not a happy one. This would be more appropriate if Nintendo were stepping into the TARDIS to transform into a new persona... wait, what?

Ocarina was open-esque, but really it was a collection of zones with definite boundaries and pathways, obstacles that blocked entire sections of the map until you beat Temple X and gained the Widget of Opening.

I know it's an unpopular opinion, but I agree. Last generation I split between 360, PS3 and PC. Wii was tempting, but none of the games really screamed "play me" enough to buy another system.

Awesome. I love me a good co-op mode in my games, especially ones with strategy rather than just endless bullet-spewing while staying completely unaware of the other players until you're screaming for their help. I'm not jaded by past co-op experiences. Really.

Small, bright figure facing large, imposing dark figure? I think you can stretch back a few centuries to find resemblance in art.

So is this a full-on story sequel, or is it a 4v1 multiplayer-focused game? I could be on board either way, I'm just not sure which it is. Is this a gameplay element, or the whole game?

If it's even half as good as the Tomb Raider reboot, I'm sold. I picked it up for PC on sale because I was wary, but wow... it blew me away. It felt like Uncharted, but better (for my personal play style, not a universal truth.)

Some of us look at these things for gameplay, not pixel fill ratios and what level of antialiasing is being done.

"Take a look at our concept art!"

Looks to be a mix of minigames centred around movement, synced up to music the way games like Audiosurf make the level's sound effects mesh with the background music.

I honestly think the future of (insert platform here) gaming is to dump get rid of single-platform friends lists. Give us a universal GamerID that we can attach to all of these different platforms so I can stop re-hunting friends down on other services.

Unfortunately, I can't let my kids play Steam games without either mixing save games and achievements or cracking the game or staying off my game library.

Okay, serious question time. I played a decent amount of Demon's Souls when I borrowed it off a friend. I later ended up buying it and my kids both fiended it. Myself, I grew frustrated with my noob ass (seriously, like level 12 or so) being invaded by people capable of ending me with a single blow. I picked up Dark

I've held out on getting it in case it comes to new-gen as well. Most companies these days seem to avoid talking about porting to future consoles until the disc is ready to print. Probably to avoid declining sales as people "wait" for the next edition, and to increase the number of people that will rebuy it for the

Yeah, let's compare a multiplayer competitive game where you replay the same maps 5000 times to a single player RPG. Good call.

But... but... it's a game that involves morality. We NEED to have 4 conversation options and a way to play the game without ever firing a gun!!! (sarcasm)

I have 5 people on my Xbox friends list that are almost constantly playing it. And these are people who normally bounce between 4-5 titles. They're either Watching Dogs or watching TV/Netflix/etc.

I'm loving it and don't regret spending $80 (f***ing Canadian price-gouging and taxes) on it. I've found with any game it's a matter of expectations.
