I’ll be honest, the MGSV “Nuclear” trailer really didn’t do it for me.

You’ve got to have a pretty good imagination to see the “butt” pose naturally. Or know absolutely nothing about anatomy (even for stylized monsters you can stuff into little balls). As a bit of an artist myself, I never have, nor do I think I could ever have mistaken that for his real pose.

It’s more like 95% CGI. His face, at the very least, is 2D in that close-up shot. Not that that’s a huge improvement though.

Is that really why? If what you say is true, BBS should’ve been a-ok for a digital release initially, but that never happened. Crisis Core comes to mind too, and I think there are a few others I’m forgetting. I assume they weren’t all related to music rights.
