Just speaking personally, but if I’d had something stolen from my office, given the offender the opportunity to return it no questions asked, and had to resort to reviewing security cameras... the offender would be terminated.

This, and termination for actual theft of personal property.
From the sound of it, he wasn’t the disruption. It sounded like the teacher created and escalated a conflict with a child. The child’s reaction to that should not be grounds for an arrest, or even a suspension.
whelp. Guess I’m buying Soul Calibur 6.
All of a sudden I’m super interested in SC6.
<begins a post about how the described game is pretty extreme>
Not shy about saying that I’ve looked to this trend as a possible way to make some money on the side... but man, the extremism of a lot of the most popular games is off-putting. It makes you feel like there’s an expectation that you have to include that content in order to make money, when all I really want to do is…
“...fringe kinks like sex slavery...”
Do you think that being asked to leave a restaurant, or having your meal interrupted, or being called by the public…
Played too much Syndicate.
I’ll admit that I’m put off by the first-person bit. I always toggled out of that shit in FO4, and would have here if it was an option.
Not developing 3rd person animations is lazy. Hard pass.
I don’t necessarily make them look like me, although I probably play them like me, which is why I have never really managed to do an evil playthrough of any game (I tried once in Skyrim and I couldn’t do it). I’m no saint or anything, but I try not to do stuff that will screw over other people in life, so I have a…
Or *she.
Haha, I’ve seen that argument before too. I’m just the total opposite. The limited scope of a first-person view (having to twitch to the side just to see what should be in your peripheral) and the unnatural way hands have to be held right in front of your face to remind you they’re there ruins the immersion for me.
I disagree, and RPG can be 1st person or 3rd person and still be an RPG, the same way a comedy or drama retains its genre even if it is or isn’t a musical (to stretch the metaphor).
Excellent analogy, thank you. There are those of us who prefer a third person perspective for a variety of reasons, and Cyberpunk 2077 being an FPS is very disappointing for us. I don’t get why it’s so hard for people who disagree to not be assholes with this.
Or they have preferences?
Hypothetical: Avengers: Infinity War, a highly anticipated movie that fans have known was coming out for many years, with the same creative team that has developed a level of trust with those fans, was announced about a year out to be a full-fledged musical
not necessarily, I personally get a vertigo from playing first person more that 20min, than feel nauseous all day. I really appreciate 3rd person games because they completely alleviate the nausea.
