If I had been on the marketing board for The Thing I would have lobbied to have it released as The Other Thing.

I started to do this with a friend. I just went down the list of words required with her to get the answers. After reading "Ultrasound equipment may be inserted into a patient's (orifice) without her express content" I was too sick to continue, even though my buddy suggested "nostril".
Holy crap, six books? I was just thinking three if this works out...
Yeah, totally makes sense!
I like that! I've already been planning to have several chunks that fit together, but I've been doing that in my head. It probably would help to get it all down first, huh? Thanks!
OhGodheregoesnothing.
Went to the Toledo Zoo today. Coming to your screen soon: Eagle Says No (now in GIF!), Pouncing Tiger Cubs, The Only Good Pictures of Their White Lions I have Ever Taken, and Head-Bobbing Polar Bear (also in GIF)!
I have since learned (from various breed sites and personal experience) that Cockers are really dumb. But I was probably a little spoiled by my first.
I don't hate him! He's freakin' hilarious! But it's a little pitiful when he gives you this look of "Oh my god what do I do?" when you give him a new toy and he doesn't understand what it is.
I've had two dogs: a half-Dalmatian half-unknown (literally, mom got loose and came home preggers, but we always thought Blue Tick) who we adopted from a Walmart parking lot, and a purebred Cocker Spaniel. Although I love my out-of-breed-standard large Muppet-dog, he is so stupid. He walked into a tree last week. He…
Aha! Yes, I watched "Fantastic Mr. Fox" just last week.
Wow, next week. It's really cool that you found a name that you like on a lot of levels. Congrats on the gestation, by the way!
Casey is a very pretty name. I would never have thought of the nickname Vangi from Evangeline! That's cool!
Those are awesome names! Kristofferson sounds familiar... no idea why. Must have heard it in a movie recently.
That is a good point. Now I'm wondering what it's Latin for.
I think naming a kid Algernon would be cool! Flowers for Algernon, right? And it's such a professorial name that he couldn't help but grow up smart. Jethro is a cool name too, but my family are big NCIS fans, so I think it might be a little embarrassing.
I laughed way too hard at that. Please tell me they're not serious.
I love the name Astrid! One of my favorite books (White Oleander) has a main character with that name. I would use it, but my family heritage is everything north of Alsace and south of the Netherlands (inclusive, both east and west), so I couldn't use a Scandinavian name.
Yay for you! My family has a long history of chronic illnesses, so I'm always happy to hear about people who get better.
I tell anyone who'll listen to me that dolphins are the fratboys of the sea. They will separate a female from her pod and keep her from eating until she has sex with them. They kill other animals for fun. Sounds like frat boys to me.
