Ditto on that Mazda 6.
So many fun and, um, unusual choices. But I say Mazda 3. It gets good mpgs, has all the safety features a responsible family guy wants and plenty room in the back for a car seat, duffel bags, few boxes of MREs and a daiper bag. Oh yeah, it’s also pretty fun to drive. It’s not rear wheel drive or V8, it’s not…
Stef, you have clearly never worked in the auto industry. Vehicles have been marketed to women specifically since at least the 50s. GM created an entire department in design to make sure women’s needs and wants were met because they understood then that women were a major part of the purchasing decision. Who do you…
or we can move on to something that can actually work, like Hydrogen fuel cell. If the goal is clean, renewable energy, hello. But Hollywood and undereducated media types have convinced everyone that what we really need is a big heavy battery that uses dirty and/or volatile chemicals that we have to rape the Earth and…
The atmosphere actually extends quite a ways beyond the ISS orbit. It’s thin, but it’s there.
Who the hell reads that far into an article online? Geez man, get real.
I’m waiting for someone to develop a spoofing device like they have with cell phones, so anyone flying in proximity to it would loose control of it. I’d put one of those on my house.
Haven’t seen any LFA on fire videos on youtube. Am I missing something? Or are you full of crap?
Like looking out the winders. I’m from KY, so yeah, we warsh the cloths we get at the Walmarts.
Fake exhaust sound? Wrong car buddy. It’s a Yamaha engine, and the intake plenum and exhaust was tuned by the audio side of the company. There is no BMW/Ford engine track playing through the speakers on the LFA,just sweet sweet gas explosions resonating through the intake into the passenger cell.
It is perfect for what it was intended for, a halo car to define the design language on following vehicles and a technology demonstrator.
HA!, good one.
I was hoping so hard.
Your writing is entertaining, but dragging your politics into it is a mistake. Half of your audience will disagree with you, that’s just how the country is. So you risk alienating half of your readers. That’s just stupid. And I am one of those people who will stop reading. I’ll miss the wit, I’ll miss the creativity,…
As a driver of many Avalons in my day, I approve of this review.
They have a truck plant in San Antonio that hires engineers fairly often. Not product design, but technically engineering.
San Antonio has a Toyota plant, and they are building a regional headquarters in Plano. Maybe there is opportunity not too far away.
At least until the supplier stops building them.
I wish that wasn’t an accurate description, but yeah.
