This game deserved better than its bad reputation. The art style worked well. It was full of great set piece moments, and I was a fan of the way it creatively reused its maps. It is far from perfect, and I’d love to see them take it apart and rebuild it, but I know that won’t happen...

I think what people expected from Bioware was an open-world story driven RPG with the added gimmick of being able to fly through the whole world. I know I lost interest the moment they previewed it as a looter shooter because all that means to me is a bunch of tedious chores and padded content.

Honestly it looks like mario in his default idle animation from any number of the 3d mario games.  Rendering something doesn’t equate to making art from scratch.  

And it was very fine way to do it. I’m playing Tsushima, it is a wonderful game, but damn every npc has essentially the same vanilla face. BotW maybe is not as gorgeous as Tsushima graphic wise, but with those very effective “gimmicks” reaches a credibility in its world difficult to achieve with great graphics alone.
