Oh you totally missed my subtext. I think Total Biscuit was a bad person who advocated for bad things and it really doesn’t imply great things to me about anyone who was a fan of him. Have a nice day.

Slava Ukraini!

deleting it all is definitely the right thing to do with TB’s legacy.

the ‘deserves a cure’ point also raise’s another interesting question, because there’s this assumption that cordyceps is what is standing in humanity’s way of a comeback. and i think that’s a survivor bias the characters of Last of Us have. Cordyceps took everything so curing it will bring everything back. but mostly

I would argue the TV series is representing the Last of Us’s narrative intentions in their purest form, unencumbered by the dissonance created by the intersection of linear storytelling and interactive player agency. While morally compromised, Joel is not a literal rampaging one-man-army super-survivor in the context

come down dude it’s all just fiction.

“And they killed this girl for nothing,” seems like a pretty on-brand outcome of TLOU depiction of humanity.

i don’t think the show is telling you anything different than the game’s narrative intended, it’s just the extremely combat focused gameplay in the game creates a dissonance with narrative intent. I never interpreted Joe as a literal one-man-army-rambo-guy-on-a-rampage in the context of the setting, and

the slimy horde doesn't have power over her career.

I think you're taking this dude way out of context just for an empty gotcha.

nice strawman

his list is very good despite the inclusion of Naruto.

this is all so fucking childish. peaked in highschool vibes

In the purest pragmatic sense

“but NFT projects might be here to stay” i wonder how much of this is a matter of face before being quietly dumped. worked for a sega owned studio at one point, could always tell when faith was lost in something (or someone) and everything was quietly rejiggered to quietly sideline it (or them).

You’re right, lots of nuance there. Varric is still a dwarf just on his own terms, something the article writer overlooked. Quite exasperated with Sisi, here, whose criticism i find is stripping away context (or at least ignoring it) because it wasn’t an exact fit for their own experiences/perspective.

Coming from an Catholic family i find Varric and Iron Bull’s rejection of these cultural heritage roots very relatable. These are extremely uncompromising places to come from and they’re rejecting Varric and Iron Bull as much as they are rejecting their roo.

Farmland saga arc is such a masterpiece and i love how its melting anime-only's brains.

I think Miyamoto has probably shaped that company’s design and creative culture as much as its ever going to be. He hasn’t been the hands-on producer/director fans imagine him to be for a long time. There are a lot of young and talented people heading up their internal game teams that we don’t see.

it’s just cardboard guys. artificial scarcity.
