When has accuracy ever stood in the way of a decent joke, or a bad one for that matter? 😉

This comment is...a lot. And most of it not wrong or unfounded. I genuinely applaud you for it, and since of it I had to read twice to understand. I appreciate you noting that Hera vs. Thrawn would be two forms of fascism against each other.

I mean, Hera’s upbringing is somewhat biased. She grew up first during an intergalactic conflict that brought war to her world Just Because, with her dad the rebel leader, and then that turned into a “turns out our allies were actual fascists too.”

What secret identity? He is a completely normal human bartender.

I believe the Tau have perpetrated the least amount of warcrimes.

According to Bloomberg, a Wednesday spinoff series focusing on Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester is now in development at Netflix.

The first I heard of this trope was “The Legend of Bagger Vance”.  It certainly wasn’t the first, but it absolutely ticks every single box.

Maybe his cinematographer is a talking Great Dane and when they’re not making movies they solve mysteries involving the occult and the paranormal.

While I don’t think there will be another Civil War, I’d be careful in your logic that they have all the guns. I’m sure the majority of guns in the country are in the hands of more conservative people, but i’m also sure a high percentage of the guns are also in the hands of liberals.

The Timeless Child stuff would’ve already done that though. And even if a regeneration limit is still in place, there’s no way that they’re gonna go through a whole eight more Doctors without bringing the Time Lords and Gallifrey back at some point.

If they do a new Hulk film it's got to involve his son and probably She-Hulk at this point. I've been wracking my brain for ideas but I've got nothing other than family vacation to somewhere, shenanigans ensue. Pay me Kevin Feige!

Can I just say: I hate Doctor Who mythology. I love the show, and have loved it since PBS aired the Tom Baker era episodes. But the show is at its best when the mythology is simple: the Doctor is a weird person in a time machine who shows up in the middle of fraught situations and fixes them.

I think TLJ is half a good movie. The scenes with Rey, Luke, and Kylo are great, the B and C stories are just kinda meh, and make the mistake of separating Finn and Poe.

I guess Lucasfilm figured they needed a Feige figure, a superfan turned pro, and Filoni was it, because it sure as hell wasn’t Kennedy, Abrams, or the Kasdans. (Not to diss Kennedy, who’s one of the most accomplished producers in her generation, and arguably Hollywood history, but the shared cinematic universe thing

I hope this means there will be a more cohesive and logical path forward. They should just pretend like the sequel trilogy never existed... With TFA, they had so many great paths they could have taken, that they just squandered.

Bring back Hillary Swank you cowards!

I think y’all just need to realize that he’s going to die without finishing it and some other author will be brought in to go through his notes, finish it, and make it publishable.

And then many of y’all will always be wondering or saying how much better it would have been if he had finished it instead of the other

He became an adjective here in the region of Brazil were I live. Being “todo nicholascagezinho”, or “all-around nicholascagefied” meant you were looking pretty, well-dressed, ready to impress. Yeah.

This is precisely why I’m excited for The Acolyte. It’s going to take place outside the Skywalker timeline, and apparently will have lots of Sith-perspective. It’s a fresh take on Star Wars, that will feel familiar, yet tell all new stories.

theres tens of thousands years of history in Star Wars. its needs a retooling not a reboot. just pick a new era and go from there. time is a circle in the Star Wars universe anyways. it wouldnt be out of the question that a plucky kid from nowhere mets a scoundrel and go on adventures to save a princess from any era
