Well, if everyone in building is holding their breath (presumably after inhaling) during the last possession, the density of air around the court might decrease for a couple seconds before air from outside moved in to fill the slight vacuum. So air resistance would go down, of course, letting the magnets and momentum

Oh, I have no idea how to calculate that. But what I’m saying is as long as were talking about technology and magic that doesn’t exist, why can’t the point of origin and the destination be 0,0,0 by default, with no other knowledge or calculation necessary?

If you pick a frame of reference where the universe is moving around the physical point from which the (time) travel originated, wouldn’t the traveler appear at the same physical coordinates (0,0,0) from its perspective? Whether it’s a machine, magic or some other force that causes the travel, being able to use the

and it has a much lower smoke point, making it easier to cook your flapjacks to the point of golden brown, rather than just brown brown.

And at that point it’s also discouraging that the money they spent on it wasn’t just donated to charity (or at least put some towards your tip) instead, if they’re already throwing it away in a sense.

Also an alum and wouldn’t be surprised at all to learn he was too.

The best tortillas I can remember eating came from a shop in Pilsen, and that includes the ones we ate in Mexico City. Unfortunately I have not been able to find anything like them here in NYC.

If you read the Harvard article, you’d see that it states that when you factor in production costs (not just transportation costs) it often costs less on a weight-moved-per-distance basis to ship something from another continent than it does to truck or fly it from somewhere closer (e.g. lamb grown in New Zealand and

Even if the one above is not it, given that the Guinness record for longest noodle is over 10,000 feet, I wouldn’t be surprised at all to learn that you can buy some sort of 50-100single noodle (probably in Japan).

Yes, I’m *that* guy today - I appreciate the sentiment but there are at least seven noodle ends clearly visible in the photo.

Sure, but given current player salaries, I doubt that any local businesses can pay enough to make much of a difference (especially when compared to a state with no state/local income tax).

Yep. Their family owns something close to half a million acres of land.

At this rate, I think I’ll hold out until they figure out how to incorporate a microwave and food processor. I expect that model will be available sometime next year.

I was actually surprised at how cheap some of the rentals at my local HD were - a 20V cordless drill was something like 12 bucks per day, and that’s in NYC. Of course if you’re going to need it for a week or more you should just buy one, even at that rate. Have the prices you’ve seen been higher, or less worthwhile

Best to put him in front of the net, I guess.

The start of the playoffs is as good as time as any to push Recep’s buttons.
