Fairly obvious at this point that it’s a rushed launch. Personally don’t see much point in getting it at launch, but as a Nintendo fan I see myself getting one eventually. Virtual console isn’t a *huge* deal to have right away, but it would have helped the somewhat weak launch lineup.

This is cool, but as others have said it looks a bit unnatural I think a better animation might have been to just keep the legs relatively steady, since you want to keep your balance and grip while on horseback, and to just have the upper body do most of the rotational work. Add in some leg shifting to convey shifting

Kinda wish they’d come with slots for more games. I did that a few times with 3DS, keeping multiple games in a single box when traveling. Sure there are better options for that, but it was a quick solution without having to go buy something.

What kind of setup do you need to rom dump? Might be more expensive, but potentially safer, to just go to where the games are and bring the equipment. Although I can’t see shipping 100 games at a time being all that cheap. Probably too difficult with his work schedule I guess.

Huh, this actually looks pretty fun as a co-op game to play with my wife or friends that wouldn’t like playing more fast paced games. At first glance in the trailer and seeing on the “launch” list I was pretty disappointed just because it struck me as a mobile-esque low impact kind of game, which wasn’t what I was

Still waiting for the DLC to go on sale on PC. At this point I’m hoping for a rerelease or something, I was super disappointed when the Trilogy pack didn’t include any DLC.

As much as I love Mega Man, the idea if playing on a touch screen sounds like a lesson on frustration. Hopefully it’ll support... Whatever controllers are supported on phones. I have a Moga controller from a few years back that never seemed to work with much.

I encountered a few games during the free weekend* that made me wonder if these were a thing. Just a few players that seemed to immediately snap to me as soon as I popped up over a building or peeked around a corner. Two Widowmakers in particular that had “play of the game” that just showed them going from one head to

Huh, slightly different gaming niche (mehheh), but looks neat! Love me some games that play with genetics and selection. I’ll definitely be looking into this more.

This sounds like a perfect recipe for disappointment! Count me as being interested.

Hmm... I wonder how much this will cost and if reservations are allowed. A three hour drive seems kinda silly for it, but hey I can couple it with going to Chicago for the first time and doing other sightseeing.

I know I’m a boring adult now that doesn’t find excitement in the little things anymore... but even as a kid I don’t think this would have been all that appealing even back in elementary school when I first started playing Pokémon. I dunno, maybe it would have. Overall it looks like a McDonald’s toy to me, just from

Definitely. Merging the two game production lines just means that there’ll be less of a dearth of games, even if 3rd party support is less than stellar. Nintendo has always faced the problem of having to pull the brunt of the weight of providing key titles for their systems, and splitting development time between two

Yeah, it’s hard to say. Either way it’s something I definitely would try first before I buy, if I had the funds to do so. I really like the possibilities behind it, assuming devs take the risk and use it right.

As someone prone to motion sickness, I’m curious how I’d handle VR. I really like the idea of it and I’d love to be able to do things like explore my Minecraft creations, but I’m not sure if I’d be able to or not. Fund wise I can’t afford any form of VR right now anyways, and I’m not sure the games are there enough to

Hah, for some reason the Mafia III low poly glitch reminded me of going back in time to the first game in Space Quest IV.

This is great! I played around with a few programs a while back that created little critters and measured their fitness in some way, then generated a new generation based on the one with the best fitness. A simple little screensaver type thing, but I would leave it running just to see what would come out of it.

That’s an... interesting choice of art style. Never played the original, but it always caught my eye and I’d been meaning to try it out. This new art style is a bit of a deterrent to me for this new one, though it looks like it builds off the gameplay just fine.

Just need a decently sized remote control car that had a camera on it and communicates with a smartphone and you could do this anywhere, really. Go to the park or empty warehouse, designate a track (or get fancy and build one) and race away, each person using their phone with a camera view from their car.
