It really does depend on the game. Dark Souls would be a good example of needing all four regularly, since you use all four for heavy/light attacks and shielding/parrying/whatever. For the most part you could probably survive using the touch screen and back touch pad to compensate on those points, since generally you

It's Missing An Upgrade I Wanted

Read that as Call of Duty: Postmortem Warfare at first. That would be... different.

Looks like the Best Buy $10 gas cash deal is still going on for those looking to pre-order Mario Kart 8 now. I'll probably jump on the deal since it's essentially $10 off, always have to buy gas.

I'd actually be kind of interested in seeing a 3rd person game done on the OR. Yes, it's not as immersive as first person for VR, but there are benefits to it still. Having quick control over the camera based on your head movements is pretty good, I'd say. I can't say how many times I've leaned sideways while playing

A minute is pretty long for a quick check in. That is shorter than I remember, but it's been a while since I've tried it and I read they made some significant improvements performance for it a while back.

For 1st party games? Rarely. I usually take advantage of "Buy 2 get 1 free" type deals pretty much exclusively for Nintendo games, which will put 3 $40 games at $26 each. Split up your purchase with a friend or two so you're not having to buy 3 games and you've got a decent enough price.

Board Games

I'd probably have jumped in more often between games as you said, just to observe, well, whatever it is, but Home takes so long to load up I can never be bothered to even try.

It is taking them a long time.

Except that a good chunk of the side things they've released for a while now has been building blocks for the plugin API. Command blocks are essentially a direct result of those efforts, along with every new command they release for them. This is another step, making the terrain generator more flexible is important

Looks like they took the random NPC doing stuff animations they made throughout the game and let the players do them.

Don't technically need the server to be modded to copy schematics, just need to take the time and copy everything you want to copy over to a new map in MCEdit, an external program. I've done it a few times on a small, vanilla server I run with my friends to move projects we want to keep onto new maps.

Mass Effect Trilogy | $20

Reminds me of my friend who discovered that in a certain position in Phantasy Star Online he could fire his gun that gave him XP each time it hit something (instead of doing damage) without attracting the attention of the monsters he was hitting. He made a device out of some brand of building toy that pushed the B

My girlfriend and I listened to the audiobook for "William Shakespeare's Star Wars" during an extended car trip. I like how they handled the shot first dilemma with that:

Firefly Strategy Board Game ($34) | Amazon | Lowest price ever

I think that's actually one of the major problems with Other M, it tried too hard to have a narrative story, shoving it in your face throughout the game and wound up ruining people's concept of Samus, where before the story wasn't what people really cared about. The Metroid series has always been more about

I'll actually agree with you there. I had a lot of fun playing Other M as a Metroid game. It did some interesting things and was a nice merging of 2D Metroid styles with 3D. It still doesn't change the fact that they completely changed Samus and did weird things to the story as a whole.
