Nice! Loved the Quest for Glory games growing up, still go back and play them every now and then. Really, they did things that games today *still* don't seem to get. Gotta love the silliness the weave in there, too. I've been wanting someone to do a more modern take on that style of game. I guess a homage, retro take

Actually getting a strong Mega Man Battle Network Transmission vibe from it.

This would never work on me. Even if I believed he was friendly, I have a nasty habit of randomly attacking allies as a method of greeting.

I completely agree. I think it's silly that EA won last year, or the year before. This was mostly just my observation on the trends in the internet, and EA's latest blunders just haven't made as much of a wave as Sim City and ME3 did, so the gaming community (which apparently makes up a good chunk of the highly active

It doesn't seem as likely to happen again this year. Battlefield 4 might do the trick, but in general I haven't felt the impact of that one as much throughout the community, not as much as Mass Effect 3 and Sim City seemed to plague us with related news for weeks, and any articles remotely related to those games

Oh wow... that art for Sarah is pretty awful. Like... really awkward standing pose.

Just throw in random battles and you have the most frustrating dungeon design ever in a JRPG!

They have to leave that market open for "Googley Eye Trackpad Protectors for Steam Controller".

Must not have, and Microsoft successfully set up that layout to be the goto layout, since the 360 controller was usable on PCs as well as the console.

Always gets me when I go from playing a game on my Wii U to playing a game using a 360 controller on my PC. Takes a second for my brain to make the switch.

D-pad looks kind of awkward as an actual d-pad, but I can understand why the design is that way for left handed/right handed neutrality. Still, it's nice to have some actual buttons on there in that layout just to make certain games easier to handle. I always prefer to play platformers using the d-pad, even if it's

"Nintendo, we want a new IP, something different than what you've done before! But make the gameplay exactly like what we've seen before, otherwise we'll get confused and not know how to play."

Depends on the time of day too, it seems, at least from my experience in the same area you're talking about. Generally the people there during the early afternoon on weekdays seem less socially awkward. Might have something to do with the fact that that's also a far less busy time of day, with fewer employees present.

I always preferred going to GameCrazy over GameStop.

Whenever a game comes out I prefer to get it on PC, but in many cases for games offering multiplayer they, for whatever reason, don't offer split-screen multiplayer in the PC version. Which, really, doesn't make sense, as the more powerful system *not* having the feature that's typically more demanding on the system.

Yeah, it's essentially reading it as if looking at a page/book upside down, which is something people would have more experience with in general.

I doubt it's only 55 out of 100 people that can read that, but yes. Yes I can. Easier than the backwards one for the article's title, or really any of the backwards ones. I imagine it would get harder with longer/less common words.

Interestingly, I find the top one in your comment the easiest to read out of all the different backwards/upside town text I've seen on this page.

Looks nice (though perhaps I've just modded up my Skyrim so much that the impact of something looking like this is lessened), but I can't wait to see what the actual game is like aside from a few sweeping landscape shots. Dragon Age: Origins was actually fairly ugly even in its own time, but it's easily one of my

I've always wondered what kind of data exactly is being sent back for these types of things. Bug reports I get, feedback I get, anonymous usage data less so. I mean, sure, why not, there's nothing private or anything they can get out of it (not that Nintendo doesn't already have a lot of that from other things
