I think that's a chimp.
I think that's a chimp.
Part of property law - if a donor attaches conditions to an endowment, then the school could be legally barred from using that money towards anything else. You'd have to look at the terms of the Cosby trust in this case.
It's legally fair use. Check out this related case on a website titled "Bally Sucks":
Thank you!
Thanks. Any general tips on how to search? I've never used twitter.
thank you
Does anyone know how to find out about protests going on in a given city? I'm pretty ignorant about social media.
...and for why there isn't another attempt to secure an indictment.
At the end of the day, though, I don't blame the grand jury. I blame the prosecutor, the DA's office, the justice system, the police department and the governor. Our system is set up to sustain this kind of institutional violence by police and structural violence against minorities. If the government actually wants to…
Seriously. Did no one think it was a major problem that an officer of the law looked at a human being and saw a demon, not a person, not a man whose well-being needed to be protected, or at least balanced against the officer's own safety concerns?
I didn't see the show, unfortunately...mostly because I just wasn't that interested in a Rock project that was blandly appealing, so perhaps my assessment itself becomes kind of circular.
That male commentator was an idiot, interjecting with that objectifying commentary on a woman who's come forward to talk about her assault and the structural violence women face.
What I took from the Leno-Conan-Falon succession is that the position seems to need someone who is in some way broadly, even blandly appealing. That's not Chris rock. I don't think I've ever seen him as uncomfortable or unfunny as when he hosted the Oscars. Jon Stewart was a failure in the same way.
Yes, Piers, let's write an article blaming black people for the discrimination they experience, and tell them yet another thing they're doing wrong and must change to avoid having violence inflicted upon them.
Oh, hooded eyelids can be so sexy.
I thought Larry Wilmore was going to be the lead of the show when I first heard about it. He's probably too old for the character, but I'd love this show with Wilmore as Dre.
I like the show, but I don't love the lead, Anthony Anderson. There's something about him that feels...to soft to be really incisive in his cultural critiques.
Rape has a different meaning culturally than it does in a courtroom. In popular culture, it means sex without consent. Under the law, most jurisdictions require force in addition to lack of consent. In popular culture, it's rape if the victim is too intoxicated to consent. Under the law, some jurisdictions will…
Is there some price for sexual harassment that we deem acceptable? It strikes me as poor corporate policy to spontaneously offer large amounts of cash to anyone who complains about sexual harassment. There was no civil lawsuit or threat of one here. Again, Uber doesn't sound like a great company, but looking at it…
I, like many women who use taxis, was mildly intoxicated, though not drunk. I was also FLEEING from somebody who was sexually assaulting me. I didn't have a pen and paper handy, and I was far more concerned with escaping. Your comment that "you probably know this - but you should have reported that to the police"…
