Oh wow...I have some family in the ATL who would freakin' love this. Thanks!

I feel there's some confusion about who exactly is coming off as pompous and bossy and trying to jump down someone's throat. I feel like I must have missed an entire thread.

This...I have to send this to about 30 people.

Apparently the dog was coming back for them and she ran to chase him off and got bit herself. So, better ending?

This is magnificent. Does it make sense that I both laughed at it and loved it, all at the same time?

Hey there! Congrats on your engagement.

That's not fucked up. Good for you. Don't know why the other commentor thought that you should reward bad behavior with presents and decorations.

Well, sure. But were you charging $400 for super fans who made you a millionaire o be photographed with you? I feel like she could fake it for a few hours whereas you are off the hook. Unless you're Avril....

I think, as others as mentioned, that would only work with a certain crowd/class. Over-friendliness and hovering can also turn off people, too...but I think there are still plenty of customers who prefer the marginally friendly server to the marginally aloof.

Oh gawd...why do I turn murderous when I hear Dave Matthews band? Because the dorm-mates next to my sophomore room played two of their albums and nothing else for an entire semester. Don't really get how both of them were ok with this or owned no other music? Or couldn't turn the radio on once in a while. So,

Thanks for this!

Reread.

Interesting. My husband and I saw that same interview and thought John Stewart wipping out that pic of Helen Mirren was frankly bizarre. They look absolutely nothing alike...except for maybe light hair and skinn(in our humble opinions, of course). We thought her reaction was pretty funny (i.e, You're right...I

Yeah, they adjusted the white balance and not just on him, but on the entire photograph so it doesn't look washed out from the sun. It's ridiculous that this is a headline or remotely controversial (in the eyes of Jezebel, anyway)

Yes, exactly! Living near Washington DC now, and I've heard some parents take up the argument about letting high school kids start 30 minutes later, but the counter to that is the busing system would be messed up for the middle and grade school kids. But the idea seems to be gaining traction at least here.

Yes, I'm a New Englander and had to leave around 7AM to get to school around 7:30AM. Waking up in darkness and leaving to a setting sun in the winter was the norm.

Word. She looks fierce

Yeah, the comments here pretty much reinforce what the tourists or newbies are sensing about locals/established transplants. I smile too and sometimes even make eye contact, gasp! And a few tourists or newer transplants (in a town, let's face it, is full of them and most of us were in this position at one point)

Sounds a bit like a Fleetwood Mac take on it (with Stevie in the lead).

I get mine at Target or Kohl's.
