Agreed. Splinter Cell is one of those few game series that are PERFECT for a live-action adaptation because it is essentially just the video game version of a spy thriller / political drama. It would make for an excellent mini-series of 8-12 episodes that are each about an hour long.

This is nonsense. How is he supposed to know what ‘creepy’ is? She is the one who started a creepy conversation for thanking him for his bdsm character, to which he seems visibly off[it by his first line.

Oh f this chick. Seriously. You don’t get to seek out a guy with comments about bdsm, transition into how you like sex art and then suddenly act uncomfortable with a conversation YOU initiated and are PERPETUATING.

“So get your hate out of here.” Name one episode of the Dukes that showed hate? The flag was not an instrument of hate like the Nazi symbol, it was a battle flag of people who are actually veterans of the US military. Do I support the South’s fight in the Civil War, nope. But I respect the people right to fly that

None of this is race related. It’s all made up by soft people with no spine, a victim complex (Karens), and are attention seeking. Call it husband/ wife. Who cares? No one with working brains.

I get master/slave. It isn’t really necessary at all, and more descriptive terms are actually better in most cases.

Not wishing to start something, but not all cops are evil.

In addition, it’s a completely different country set years ago so it has even LESS in common with current events. I don’t get it, am I just supposed to be uncomfortable around any cop in any country somehow? I don’t extend what U.S. cops do to any other police force out there.

That is pretty silly. Are you not going to be able to enjoy ANY media, past, present, or future, that takes place in ANY country, in ANY time period, that happens to have a character who is related to some form law enforcement?

It’s a weird statement for the author to make even IN context of modern events. It's the character's Uncle who also just happens to be a detective. I'm not sure what is supposed to be uncomfortable about that.

Then you're an idiot.

I’m in the same camp. The modern part of the story was AS interesting as the historical stuff for me, at least until they jumped the shark and really leaned into the gods and aliens bullshit. Now the games are just generic historical fantasy games, which is par for the course in Ubisoft's attempts to make their games

I also want to see Anglo-Saxons complaining about how clean the Danes are.

VR will not go mainstream or experience widespread adoption until it’s A) cheaper B) wireless and C) easy to set up. Until then, it’ll remain a niche hobby for those with cash to burn. The PSVR was probably the best step toward mainstream, but it still relied on extra hardware and wires all over the room.

That’s not a keyboard and mouse, that’s some weird Christmas decoration.

Ok. The game now properly guilt trips you for installing crematories under the statue of liberty after taking over New York. Additionally, when you play as Russia, it constantly reminds you that you also set up a bunch of concentration camps that also participated in ethnic cleansing. If you play as Canada, it reminds

I think a lot of people miss this, but adaptations aren’t necessarily for the people who played the game. They’re for the (much, much) larger audience that watches TV and movies. If they can get some of the original fans on board, cool, but they’re after people who haven’t played the game more than them.

“Ok, this is my going rate”  “Well we just kinda thought you’d do it for free. You know, for the exposure”

This isn’t some scrappy, unproven start-up we’re talking about here...it’s friggin’ Google, they essentially own the internet and have more money than they know what to do with. Were they so inclined, they could be doing exactly what Epic is doing with the EGS in ponying up for exclusives or timed exclusivity for

Not to mention Google is well known for launching services and then shelving them a few years later, hanging the people who were fans/users of said services out to dry.
