Uh, the problem here is actually the title of this article. Jennifer Lawrence doesn't actually say "you have shitty interview skills"— she was making fun of the way he chooses to do the interviews on the show, especially when it's a celebrity and not someone he happens to already know a lot about. There is clearly a

Over-offended much? I love Jon Stewart too, but the fact that he did a great interview on one day in 2008 doesn't invalidate the fact that his interviews with celebrities are by far the weakest part of the show. I'd much rather see him do one interview a week that he's fully prepared for and have him focus on the news

Interviewing actresses, while adorable and fun, is not his meat and potatoes.

"Shitty interview skills."

In other words, you cannot point to a single quote in the story that condemns Serena Williams for anything — being black, being a woman, anything at all. Instead of responding to a perfectly reasonable request for even one offending quote, you fall back on a lame insult.

If you stand by your original comment, perhaps you'd be good enough to provide the offending quotes here. Just copy and paste the quotes that condemn Ms Williams for being a woman and being white. ["She's made the double sin of being black AND a woman."] Thanks.

Do even understand the meaning of "premature obituaries"? It means the author notes some people thought Williams was in decline and they were foolish to think so because of her "desire to clamber back to the top was insatiable."

The article doesn't allow Serena to speak for herself? Do you honestly think CNN had the opportunity to quote the greatest figure in American women's sports and declined to do so because they hate blacks and women? If Serena didn't speak it is because Serena didn't want to speak.

I'm glad I've never donated to SMU. I'd hate to think my money went to fund this... uh... science.

He may have helped her regain some form and focus, but he hardly rescued her from some high tower or a dragon's clutches. Serena did that shit on her own, as she always has.

That's not in the article. It's in the stupid headline. The headline does not accurately describe the article and Jezebel has not accurately described the article either.

I do a fair amount of sportswriting and TV sports commentary so unless you actually work in tennis, it's unlikely you know more about the subject than I do.

You didn't read the article, you just read the headline or trusted to Jezebel to accurately convey the article here. The CNN article does none of the things you assert. Not one.

The article doesn't mention anything about anyone managing Ms Williams sex life. You may be projecting.

The CNN headline is stupid, but that's what all this fuss is about. The headline does not accurately describe the article. Nowhere in the article, apart from the misleading headline, is Coach Mouratoglou described as her savior. This is the most flowery description of his contributions to Ms Williams' accomplishments:

This is one of the most nakedly exploitative things I've ever seen in my life.

Yeah, that's the point I made. Thanks for noticing.

Determined to give this nobody weirdo the attention he needs to delay his inevitable suicide, eh?

I don't know the first thing about the Kardashians and I pity anyone who does [yep, I'm that superior], but Lamar Odom's drug problem long predates 2013. I was at the NBA Draft when he was selected fourth overall and everyone knew then that he fell that far because he was a well-known drug abuser. Without that rep
