Did you read the account from the person who drove for three hours and LOST money? How is this person going to net more cash by spending more hours behind the wheel?

I swear by Brother printers. They’re very reliable and from my research, the least expensive to operate (especially compared to an HP, for example). WiFi connectivity is really convenient and duplex capability is great for saving paper.

I’m guessing the Thanksgiving midnight bump is people going shopping? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Even if we managed to put Democrats in charge of the entire government for the next 100 years (the GOP deserves to wander in the woods for at least that long to atone for their current sins) — politicians would not be able to do more than make a small dent. There’s just too much money at stake.

And when setting up this iPhone for the first time (or again), one of parents decided it would be more convenient to just use the same Apple ID as the other device.

I like how your straightforward, helpful reply is buried in “the grays” while the smartass wrote the first one I saw.

It also appears that GoodReader may no longer be supported. The link for contacting the developer via the website is dead, and I’ve found several reports from people who’ve sent support requests and not heard back weeks later. Something’s up. (And it’s disappointing, because I agree — the app is awesome.)

Some people can’t afford to be without their computer for a week. Apple needs to do better.

Regardless, it’s certainly not a “silly limitation”, it’s a limitation for a very specific reason which is providing security for users who will not understand that “this document is editable by anyone who has the link”.

I was in the same situation a few years ago, except it was the CVS Minute Clinic (free) or the pharmacy counter *20 feet away* ($35).

This is incorrect.

I’m still miffed about the year I waited too long to get my flu shot and the only place that had any was the pharmacy at CVS. My insurance would pay for the shot if I got it at the in-store Minute Clinic but not at the pharmacy counter 12 feet away. (Of course I just paid for the shot, but WHY, AETNA, WHY??)

DC’s streets are based on a grid, albeit with state-named avenues intersecting them.

The batteries aren’t defective, simply degraded through use.

“I prefer the 3000-4000k color temps because they more closely match a 60 watt bulb”

A 100-watt incandescent equivalent in LED would use about 15 watts.

I love it when people take all the blame away from the addict.

If you don’t want a home or a car, fine.

Just throwing this out there: I suspect for some people, iOS does what they need and switching would be a (minor) hassle. That doesn’t make them tech-illiterate, perhaps just busy or more interested in other things.
