It’s the next-best-thing to my Cadillac Cimarron suggestion, but you will actually fit behind the wheel of this one.

Excellent! Can’t wait to see that J-10 back on the road!
My Jeep is pretty crazy. Toys for Tots runs, car club holiday brunches, out-of-town family airport-hauler, she sure get’s a work out this time of year so it’s OK to get a little crazy...right? This pic was taken this morning.
I have the 2.8, 6-cylinder in my 88 Cimarron and although it’s not setting any speed records it still surprises people when taking off from stop lights. Remember, this 2.8 is the forebearer of the 3.4 turbo and 3.8 supercharged sixes that powered GMs all the way into the mid 2000’s and they drop into the Cimarron with…
Loving mine! Doing my best to at least soften the Cimarron’s reputation by keeping it on the road almost for almost 30 years now. How old is your car (he he)?
My mom’s super-new black and gold 1986 Pontiac Grand Prix was stolen from a Papa Gino’s (East Coast “Italian” “food” chain) while we were eating. She called the cops and while we were in the patrol car filling out the paperwork the cop said “Buckle up!”
Not dead yet!
Cadillac certainly remembers.
My Cimarron has the 2.8 with an ASTOUNDING 130hp. Actually it’s pretty fun to drive but I’m excited about upgrading the engine to a 240hp 3.4 turbo when the time comes and if the body doesn’t fall apart before then.
Loving my Cimarron (and my Suzuki!)!
Got to a Cadillac dealer, let a sales person drive it, let them tell you why their version is better. Repeat at Lincoln. Repeat at Jeep, oh wait the Grand Wagoneer isn’t built yet.
I’m hopefully optimistic about the new Grand Wagoneer. BRING BACK THE WOODY!
#1 “skin-oil” ew.
We have a 2001 that is both manual and 4X4. Bought new. I’ve only ever seen one other manual and not sure whether or not it was 4X4. Super fun to drive and passengers are always surprised to see me shift gears.
I have a 2001 manual 4X4 and we love it! The 200hp engine really wakes up with the manual and I have lots of fun zipping through Colorado’s mountain passes with boyfriend, dog and camping supplies in tow. Almost 200,000 miles!
I used to think I had a pretty good relationship with my imagination but I just can’t even with this list.
Can’t wait to see your progress! We have some excellent resources to help keep our SJ’s on the road. You may have already discovered these two forums but here they are anyway: FSJ Network and IFSJA. BJ’s Offroad and Team Grand Wagoneer have replacement parts and pieces as well and there are at least three good Full…
Everything old is new again.
I would gladly trade in my G8GT for one if it didn’t look so much like a Malibu/Impala. Sorry but there’s a point where it can be too much of a sleeper.
Definitely not the Leaf. We drove it and it was just too light, bouncy, and noisy. The Volt felt closer to the ELR we test drove. Heavier, quieter, better interior materials. I don’t know anything about the Bolt but will consider anything.
