I would just be wary about wiring aftermarket modules into the factory electronic system. I’ve seen several guys on the forums get warranty claims denied because of aftermarket/custom modules that turn on fog logs with high beams, were found in the vehicles system.

An easy override for this is to leave a dummy 7 way plug installed near the rear bumper. The truck will think its hauling a trailer thus overriding the auto on/off feature.
