I guess because that is the only way Walternate could activate the machine. But it does seem like there could have been an easier way to solve that problem if that was Baby Henry's only purpose.

No way, it does not help, Esther. Mary Poppins was already sci-fi and this just boosts its cred (and her cred). Actually, it's more than missing an obvious reference, this could be bigger than anything you can imagine. It may not be sci-FI at all, Mary Poppins gave us a solution to a medical problem that's been

Oh that. is. AWESOME.

Wait, doesn't this mean that we've been... Left Behind?

THIS.

Thank you! Keaton was amazing as both Bruce and Batman. Sure, his Batman may have seemed a bit psychotic and enjoyed his work a little too much but he was compelling. If he was given the scripts and production quality of the recent Nolan films... just wow, can't even imagine how fantastic that would have been.

Hah, I have the exact opposite opinion. Nothing wrong with that but just struck me as funny, don't usually have a completely flipped opinion of characters/acting from other io9-ers. Keaton's Wayne, to me, was a real person and you could tell there was more going on inside his head from Keaton's facial expressions and

If Engler was talking about a show that aired on a 'normal' schedule and was static in quality (no large change throughout) then I would cut Siffee some slack and agree that he's largely right. The problem is, they screwed SGU with the inexplicably long hiatus (not as bad as Caprica, tho) but moreover they should

Heh, thanks for the compliment :)

Exactly, that was awesome. I forgot all about old BSG Starbuck at that point.

Yeah if they left it ambiguous that's fine by me. And the way you laid it out is perfect, you're right it could simply be misinterpreted to be made by Stark that way.

First off, if the Lost island had turned out to be Themyscira instead, that would have been awesome ;)

Stop fighting you two ;) And I agree with sui generis, there's no reason to include a lengthy dissertation about Wakanda and why/how they mine/refine vibranium. If they did that then yes, collex, I think you're right it would be a needless 'wtf' for the general viewing public.

Seriously. Female Starbuck was odd at first but should be able to get over that pretty quickly seeing as the characters were completely different since the two shows WERE NOTHING ALIKE.

For all the alt-universe stuff that Fringe drops in like the Red Lantern, Red Arrow, Superman-Batman movie, Firefly season 2 etc., they should have an episode of Wormhole Xtreme playing or a promo poster for it somewhere.

Every episode connected to Wormhole Xtreme was hilarious in its entirety. God I miss that show.

Cool, thanks for the clip. That line where MacGyver tells the kid "if you pay attention to this stuff there's no telling how far you will go" got me thinking how cool would it be if RDA actually said that to Judge as an actor, then wound up working together on SG1.

Excellent addition, with all the reminiscing of funny moments/lines/episodes I'd somehow forgotten about the Feldman eps. 'Avenger 2.0' was hilarious. And of course the pre-'200' Wormhole X-Treme episodes as well.

Window of Opportunity and 200 are two episodes I can just watch over and over. And over. And over and over and over and over...

Now playing

They don't have the beginning of this convo but I believe Baal says something like "I have been waiting for over an hour" or "Why have you kept me waiting"
