Careful, when I said something similar several matchups ago I was accused of "spewing vitriol" and saying "incredibly nasty things." Apparently noting the fact that we also love Firefly means nothing. I've recused myself, since I'm such a hateful, small-minded jerk, from further Firefly/Serenity poll discussions.

Thank you for your non-recommendation (well, mostly you just gave me a short description but it seemed to be a clear "Do Not Watch" statement) of 'The Event' in a previous post. Judging the brief recap headlines and the comments, I'm much better off for not bothering to watch any of it.

Don't be afraid, watch it. You will not make any meaningful connection with the show, or any character, so it won't be painful at all if/when it doesn't come back. Moreover, you should watch it so that you can exult upon its cancellation.
